Very experienced guide. She gave us a great tour of the city and plenty of recommendations on good places to eat.
Very knowledgeable tour guide and very professional. It happened that I was the only one on the tour that afternoon and yet she did everything professional. Attention to detail. Very nice walking tour of Upper and Lower Old Town Tallinn. i would recommend this tour to everybody.
We did not know anything about Tallin so this was very interesting. The Music Grounds while some might think boring were very important in keeping the city's culture alive during a very violent time in history.
An excellent tour once we found the pickup point! The guide was very friendly knowledgeable and we saw both the new and old parts of this beautiful city.
We both greatly enjoyed the excursion around Tallinn, and the insights provided by our guide, Erik. He was very knowledgeable, easy to hear, and he was adept at walking backwards on the cobblestones of the Old Town while narrating. :-
Guide was very accommodating. Had rainy weather but found places where we could go in and get dry
The tour guide was excellent. She gave out lots of information, was available if we needed her, and seemed to be genuinely concerned that are tour went well... and it did.
On May 19, This tour was fantastic and our guide was awesome. Very knowledgeable and thoughtful.
We were traveling with my parents 82 and 81 years old, she was very considerate.
Old town of Tallinn was a very pleasant surprise. I have traveled many European countries, but this was very quaint and beautiful.. I strongly recommend this trip.
Our guide was very knowledgeable. And Tallinn was like being in the fairytale
The tour was great as well as the tour guide. She gave a complete tour and absolutely did not rush us. She was also very friendly and knowledgable. I gave the tour 5 stars due to her but again the meeting place is IMPOSSIBLE to find! Nothing is clearly marked and as it was early in the morning there were not many people around to ask and those who were around were clueless! I don't understand why the tour bus cannot do the pick-up at the ships port entrance?... Please consider changing the pick up point. We ended up calling the tour company and the bus came back from us. It was not a fun way to start the morning.
We were met right outside the cruise port by our guide and taken to a small van. We spent the first half hour picking up at hotels. As there were no people to pick up we got a private tour. At first I think the guide was a bit miffed, but she warmed up after awhile. A nice bus tour, but the walking tour was the highlight. This town is very beautiful and you can only really see it by foot. The guide showed us some local "color" spots not usually seen by the tours.
An excellent tour a little tricky finding pick up point, but it was great being on a smaller vehicle so that we could see some areas a large bus couldn't manuever. It would have been difficult for some to walk back to the ship, but we had a sunny beautiful day so the walk for us was enjoyable
A little hard to find where to start the tour. Tour desk on ship had to call Port authority to find out for me. However, once I got there (quite a distance from the ship and the cruise port), all was well and the guide very informative and helpful. Had a lovely day and guide gave advice on other things to do, where to eat etc. Also helped that there were only five of us on the tour. Loved Tallinn.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative on our tour of Tallinn. Her "English" was very clear and easy to understand. The tour included all to points of interest we wanted to see. Eric Edge
I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESION THAT I WILL BE PICK UP AT THE PORT I SPEND 1/2 AN HOUR LOOKING AND ASKING FOR THIS TOUR WENT TO THE INFORMATION DESK AT THE TERMINAL AND THEY GAVE ME A BROCHURE FOR THE TOUR I BOUGHT THEY EVEN CALLED THE # NO ANSWER I WENT TO THE HOTEL AND I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WAITING FOR ME AT 10:30AM AT THAT LOCATION THE TOUR WAS PERFECT SO WAS THE GUIDE AALSA. BETTER COMUNICATION IS NEEDED
Eric is a very capable guide. The tour was very well organised. The walking tour through old Tallinn was really enjoyable. Recommended
The tour guide Eric was good but He failed to show us the oldest pharmacy and I was looking forward to buying some of the candy as promised in the tour write up. We were left in the town square with directions to get back to the boat. This was a good tour but I didn't like being left in the main square when there was alot of commotion.
Orientation of city on bus very helpful.
Guide spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable.
A very good tour. The tour guide was knowledgeable about all the sights. The bus was a small bus that held about 16 people. There was 10 people on our tour. We saw all of the main sights on the edge of Tallinn and then had a walking tour from the upper city to the lower city. Made it easy to see the sights of old Tallinn without too much walking. We have found the non-cruise sponsored tours are small than the cruise sponsored tours which typically have 45 people or so. We got everything the cruise sponsored tours offered at a cheaper price and with a smaller group.
I found the directions for pick up at the ferry terminal to be unsatisfactory. However, I was successfully picked up at the appointed time so that's pretty good. The driver was not the friendliest. He grunted at me when I said hello. In any case, we made a tour of 3 different hotels for pick up and I was still the only one on the tour. You would think that the company would know how many people to pick up, where to pick them up at and if it's necessary to even stop at a hotel that has no one to pick up at. So for the transport at pick up, I would rate it as a 1, possibly 2. Count on European attention to time to get picked up and do not panic.
The final hotel we stopped at, we picked up Epp, the guide. She was absolutely wonderful. Very knowledgeable, very willing to answer questions and open to stopping when I wasn't feeling too well and needed to get out to get some air. The tour takes you on a bus drive around the city and then drops you off in old town where the guide walks you around and tells you about the history of Tallinn. Epp ended the tour in old town city square where I was able to explore more on my own and get some lunch. I highly recommend Restoran Rae, Raekoja plats 10, in the old town city square. I had the cheese and bacon soup and it was WONDERFUL.
This is a good tour if you have limited time in Tallinn, want a brief overview and want to have time to wander on your own.
Eva was a great tour guide. Even though I was the only one on the tour, she made it very informative and accommodated my schedule.
Tallinn was definitely a surprise. We enjoyed our tour and stay in Tallinn. Had a great tour guide who knew a lot about the history and area. Highly recommend the tour by Viator.
We were met right outside the cruise port by our guide. A nice bus tour was very informative
and the walking tour in Old town of Tallinn was a very pleasant and beautiful.
We bought 3 tours from Viator during our latest cruise vacation. This travel company is very reliable and well organized.
For sure we are going to buy from Viator again.
