Useful Information
Swim with the Fishes at The Florida Aquarium
This shore excursion takes place in the aquarium’s Coral Reef Gallery, which simulates a 60-foot (18-meter) dive site modeled after an actual dive site in the Dry Tortugas near Key West, Florida. In this 500,000-gallon (1.9-million-liter) tank, you will see a reef that is the base for a vibrant community of marine life, including more than 2,000 creatures, representing about 65 species, all native to Florida.
There will be two dive masters in the water with the group at all times. All dive team members are CPR-, first aid- and emergency oxygen-trained.
Advanced reservations are required to participate in the Swim with the Fishes program; it is not available to book on the day.
Please note:
This excursion is located within a 10-minute walk to the cruise port, so you determine the time you return to your ship in Tampa. Please allow yourself ample time to enjoy the excursion and ensure your timely return to the port. This excursion is not covered by our Worry-free policy.
