Whilst we had some rain during the cruise we were in an air conditioned craft with excellent viewing all round. Rain stopped for our two stops - Sarah Island and the rainforest - each of which were very interesting and well explained by our hosts. A must-do on any visit to Tasmania.

We were fortunate in having perfect calm weather for this trip, but in any case it was very professionally carried out, and the included buffet lunch was higher quality than expected. The ride up the river and back was lovely, you could stand outside or sit inside in comfort; there was plenty of reference material to study, and an interesting young guide giving a commentary along the way. The stops and tour round the island were a revelation of times past. NB join the queue in plenty of time for your boarding ticket, or you'll feel rushed.

Hi,
We were blessed with beautiful weather. The journey up the Gordon River was made even more enjoyable with the Captain's Commentary about the history of the area etc.
The food and service were exceptional. All in all a great day out.

I enjoyed every aspect of this tour. Congratulations to the crew of the Lady Jane Franklin 2 for their care and attention and great service and commentary throughout the tour. The cruise to Hell's Gate was great - criuising past the lighthouses and seeing the harbour entrance. The cruise along the Gordon River was sensational and I enjoyed the rainforest walk. The lunch on board was very well received and after lunch the visit to Sarah Island was most informative. We were very lucky to have beautiful weather on the day of our cruise which obviously added to the satisfaction of the day. Overall - something I had been looking forward to for a long time and it didn't disappoint.

We booked trip on upper deck with lunch and drinks included. Excellent cruise with very attentive staff and wonderful commentary from the different experts on board. It was very hot and the airconditioning was not working efficiently on the boat but we spent quite a lot of time on deck taking photos

Beautiful weather on the day of the cruise and it was the best part of my entire trip to Tasmania. The river is so very beautiful, it is breathtaking. Worth every cent of the ticket price and would recommend it to anyone.
