our taxi arrived on time and delivered us safely to the airport in plenty of time to catch our flight, the driver made no conversation during the journey.

We had a early mornin flight from Tel Aviv, on our first visit to Israel. It made sense to pre-book transport to the airport. The driver showed up on time at 3:00 am, , lifted the bags into the cab, and delivered us safely and on time to the airport. He had been misinformed (in spite of our confirmation) that there would be only one passenger (instead of two), but it didn't really matter. In future, now that we're a little more familiar, we would call a taxi from our centrally located hotel for half the price, rather than prebook.
Pick up time was confirmed for 4.00am. By 4.15am no one had turned up and the supplied telephone number was not being answered. As we were group of 5 + luggage we had to speedily arrange for 2 taxis. The 2 taxis and the booked transfer all arrived at 4.30am. After an almost fist fight between the 3 drivers as to who was transferring us, we boarded the Viator transfer (minivan) but not before the driver struggled to get our 5 suitcases into the minivan!
