I purchased tickets at home for the bus tour. I wasn't sure if we had to find a ticket office to get our passes downtown. You go straight to the bus and they print them right there. Very easy and no extra steps to get on. We couldn't find the stop at Aztec Theater, so we ended up walking to the Alamo so we wouldn't miss the bus. We sat on top to enjoy the views, but it got too hot. Inside and downstairs had A/C that worked. Was a good balance from top to bottom!
This was a great way to get around the city of San Antonio. We of course sat up top in the open-air section of the bus for great views. The buses were very clean and the drivers were friendly. They offered complementary bottles of water, which on a real hot day I thought was a nice idea. Will use again for sure if in the area.
We loved the hop on hop off it was an easy way to see the whole city.
We had so much fun learning about the history of the area. One of the drivers was great. He talked about everything and very little of the prerecorded info. LOVED IT!!
It was truly an educational experience and Curry told us about great gunther house restaurant meals and tidbits about San antonio, we would never have known
Weather was perfect our first day to sit on top deck and tour the city. Pick up in front of our hotel made it so easy.
We had the same driver on a couple of trips. he was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. Sorry, i don't remeber is name but he was a big guy, not fat really just big, and of mexican decent. The routes were right on.
A great way to get around - most places are walkable but great to get to the spanish markets and the famous bakery!!
The tour is very convenient. The bus stops are quite challenging because the City of San Antonio does not permit bus stop signs to be posted. The bus I was in was a bit warm. But I was extremely warm in San Antonio. Overall, a great orientation tour of the city.
This was quite enjoyable, the live guides were informative. A good way to get around San Antonio.
Our tour guides on the 2 trips we took were very good. This concept is excellent n getting to know a new city easily and where to get on and off on the next trips.
Great way to see the City and then go to the special places that interest you. Tour guides seemed to be very knowledgeable
It's a nice way too see and tour. We used the upper level under the awning where it was a little cooler. I would recommend it to get around downtown San Antonio
You get to see all the important places in San Antonio. It's pretty cool
The actual bus tour was worth it but the wait was long too pick up the ride at the Market Square. We decided to walk to town instead.
We got the 2-day pass but saw everything the 1st day. The 1-day pass is sufficient.
Some interesting areas to see but maybe not so much to stop and visit. For the price combined with points of interest, just a "C" rating. It's a little ridiculous that the city won't allow bus stop signs along the route-very tourist unfriendly.
The tour guides were friendly and helpful. I wish the guide would have told us more about the city. We heard about movies shot in San Antonio but very little about the city itself.
Tour is a recorded narration. It would be much better if it was live. Some of the drivers were friendly. One even gave a live talk. One driver didn't even speak to anybody when we got on the bus. Service was very hit or miss. I don't think the owner of this company much cares about the experiences of his guests once he gets their money. I have been on much better Hop on Hop Off buses in other cities.
