This was a great way to get around the city of San Antonio. We of course sat up top in the open-air section of the bus for great views. The buses were very clean and the drivers were friendly. They offered complementary bottles of water, which on a real hot day I thought was a nice idea. Will use again for sure if in the area.
We loved the hop on hop off it was an easy way to see the whole city.
We had so much fun learning about the history of the area. One of the drivers was great. He talked about everything and very little of the prerecorded info. LOVED IT!!
It was truly an educational experience and Curry told us about great gunther house restaurant meals and tidbits about San antonio, we would never have known
Weather was perfect our first day to sit on top deck and tour the city. Pick up in front of our hotel made it so easy.
Tour is a recorded narration. It would be much better if it was live. Some of the drivers were friendly. One even gave a live talk. One driver didn't even speak to anybody when we got on the bus. Service was very hit or miss. I don't think the owner of this company much cares about the experiences of his guests once he gets their money. I have been on much better Hop on Hop Off buses in other cities.
No a/c...hard to find stop ( no sign). One very nice driver, the other less so. It was nice to have icy bottle of water offered
The tour was good, but it was very confusing determining which tour we were getting. We thought we'd be on the double decker bus running every 20 minutes, but somehow ended up on a trolley tour running every hour. That meant we had to wait around longer at each place to get a bus to another stop.
We've done hop on hop off tours in many cities all over the U.S. and Europe. The staff in San Antonio were pleasant but they don't measure up to our other experiences. Also hard to find the bus stops as there are no signs anywhere. I'd call this a glorified bus ride, not a tour.
