Zoomarine Algarve

Based on the theme "The Life of the Oceans", Zoomarine is a marine wildlife park which occupies over 8 hectares and has a focus on education and awareness of the conservation of marine life.

You have the option of combining an entrance ticket with hotel pick up and drop off from the following areas:

Hotel Pickup:

Hotel pick-up is available from selected resorts located along the Algarve. You MUST advise your hotel details at time of booking. You must also call the supplier at least 24 hours prior to tour commencement to reconfirm your tour and departure details, at which point they will advise your pickup point and time.

Aquarium "Oceanus"
Fish and marine invertebrae can be found at Oceanus, the place at Zoomarine devoted to aquariology. There are over 20 aquatic ecosystems, distributed according to the central theme: The Cycle of Water. Collections of full-scale models of dolphins, whales and sharks complement the pedagogical component of the area.

HD Cinema
In a totally innovative way, this amazing and informative 4-D movie breaks new ground by using state of the art technology and digital animation to alert viewers to three of the greatest dangers facing the Earth today: global warming, ocean habitat destruction and deforestation.

Shows
Zoomarine offers a Dolphin Show, Tropical Birds Show and Birds of Prey Show which all aim to present the natural and trained behavior of the various species, together with the characteristics and the affectionate relationship they develop with their trainers. Above all, they aim to promote ecological awareness among visitors which is increasingly important in our modern world.

Dolphin Interaction (additional cost approximately EUR140.00 per person)
The dolphin interactive program is a unique opportunity to get to know and interact with trained bottlenose dolphins under the supervision of specialized professionals. During the program you will be accompanied in and out of the water by an educator who will answer all you questions.

Rehabilitation
Staying true to its philosophy for active conservation projects, Zoomarine rehabilitates and reintroduces a wide range of animals to their natural habitat. This is the first rehabilitation center for marine animals in Portugal and helps those rescued from injury, illness, exhausted or simply disoriented.

Planet Awareness Center
The Planet Awareness Center was created with the aim of promoting some conservationist and scientific projects developed and/or supported by Zoomarine.

Pools and Green Areas
Bordered with lawn and green areas, the pools throughout Zoomarine offer a chance to relax and refresh for adults, children and infants.

Rides
Attractions include the Big Wheel, pirate boat, flume ride, mini roller-coaster and just the right amount of adrenaline. Go up, go down, spin, scream and get ready to go again!
