Absolutely loved it

This was a very worthwhile thing to do. It was great entertainment!

I was the envy of my friends when I told them I happened to be visiting Tokyo during a Sumo Tournament. This tour was a brilliant insight into Japanese sporting culture. (Tip: pop out to grab a drink from the kiosk during the Tournament and you may be lucky enough to come face-to-face with a Sumo Wrestler during the tournament, like I did!) I also found it really handy to have a guide explain the insider secrets about all things Sumo, that no guide book can ever tell you! Don't leave Tokyo during Tournament time without attending a match.

The sumo experience is very unique and I found it quite exciting. Having the tour guide present was a bonus as he could explain particular rituals, fill you in on wrestlers' histories etc.

Sumo was nothing like I'd ever imagined - it was better! I couldn't believe how superb the entire experience was. We enjoyed it immensely and would recommend it as a must do to all.

This package was pretty well organized and there was an English guide for the tournament which helped us enjoy the match even more. The seats were not bad. It would be nice not to have to reconfirm twenty four hours prior to the event for those of us who find it difficult to make international calls from our home country prior to travel.

Four hours was a bit long, but it was still interesting.

The opportunity to see a live Sumo tournament is one all should take. It's a great experience and is a lot of fun. The seats aren't the best and you are seated a little way back on the second floor, but you still get a good view of the action. The guide we had sadly didn't offer anything to the experience, so don't expect much from the guides. But it's still a good day out.

Good, but ticket should include a box lunch.

We were familiar with Sumo, and this was what we expected. The guide gave my wife and me seats separated by the aisle and did nothing to correct her mistake. Awareness of the seat numbering would have been helpful.

The tour was great and the guide was excellent. My only concern was that no one came to pick us up at the arranged hotel location, despite the fact that we confirmed the reservation the day prior to the event.

It was OK, but could have been better

It was nice that I didn't have to wait in line for tickets, as well as trying to figure out where to go. But paying 90 for a 45 dollar ticket didn't seem that worth it. We used the subway to get there as a group, then they old us some information about the match, all which could be found with ten minutes of reading wikipedia. The sumo was good, but the 'tour' okay.

Travel to the venue slow and multiple changes. No transport back - do it on your own. Ad hoc help with instructions. Event was very good.

The only good part was sumo itself. The trip was poorly organized. Transportation to the Sumo hall was by multiple subway trains. On the way to the tournament our guide made multiple stops of few minutes to over 30 minutes, when he asked us to wait an disappeared without telling why and when he will be back. After entering the hall he collected our tickets, so we could not go to our seats. We waited than for another 30 minutes. The guide just insisted, we buy t-shirts with sumo design. After the tournament we received information which subway to take to get to our hotels. Sumo itself is just perfect. But if you have another way of getting tickets do it.
