Going along on a guided tour was really worth it since all the signs inside the museum were in Japanese. The guide had very good English and I can really recommend this tour!

This was the best part of my trip to Tokyo. My eleven year old son was amazed by everything there. Our guide was wonderful and not only did a great job giving us the personal tour at the museum but also gave us lots of info on the way and on the return. She was also helpful at helping us plan additional activities on some of our free days afterwards.

This was a very fun tour. I was told from people that live in Japan that it is hard to get in if you live there. I would suggest doing this tour if you like Japanese anime.

Thank you so much. This was amazing thanks to our tour guide. He was the best tour guide I've ever had, no joke! Thank you!

Excellent, well worth the trip and my adviser was excellent and very kind, whom she also spoke exquisite English.

This was a fantastic place to visit, even for a couple of adults who should really not have been as enchanted and mesmerized as we were. We would recommend it to anyone.

The guide was so helpful and due to the fact that we were the only people booked it was a personal tour! My children and I got a wonderful insight into the specifics of the museum and its history. All in all a great experience.

This is a must-see experience for any fans of Miyazaki's work, or fans of animation in general. Unfortunately, you can't take pictures inside the building, but there are two gift shops which sell books and postcards with photos. There is a real fantasy feel to the place, I felt like a kid again. It was like going inside Miyazaki's mind! I considered it an added bonus that the tour guide was very friendly and spoke excellent English.

The museum was great but there was not a lot to do to fill the time. 4 or so hours, the trip could definitely be shorter but those with kids would probably enjoy the extra time there.

If you're an Anime fan, and specifically a fan of Director Hayao Miyazaki, then you won't want to miss this opportunity to see some of characters and places in 3-D form. Plus, you can see an exclusive Miyazaki short film on the premises. The short film is only in Japanese, though, which means if you don't understand Japanese, you can only focus on what you're seeing and the background music. I thought it was still a great story and very well drawn. This tour is helpful, as the Museum is outside the core Tokyo subway system and then a short bus ride beyond the train station.

This is very good if you like Ghibli; there were no photos allowed in the museum, and everything was in Japanese, so the guide came in handy.

This is a must-do trip for anybody who likes anime. The tour takes you through the Ghibli world. You have the opportunity to watch a short animated movie in the small cinema and then wander around the shop or take a look at how the movie was made.

It was OK, but could have been better

The museum was definitely worth seeing. However, I envisioned a comfortable bus ride to the museum, and instead we took a short bus ride to the train station and then rode the train with our guide. Standing room only most of the way. An English-speaking guide was helpful, but the transportation was not comfortable.

Although the museum was really good, the price just wasn't worth it. Getting to Mitaka and then the museum wasn't so hard. And the museum didn't need a guide to take us around.
