This tour is an excellent way to see the city, albeit in a fast-paced and brief manner. Our tour guide was wonderful and had a delightful personality. She was able to be both informative and amusing with her commentary. As it is only an afternoon tour, you're only given a sample of some of the city's features or sights. Tokyo is so incredibly multifaceted and intriguing that a tour like this could never expose you to everything that is on offer there obviously. But it is a pretty good way to start. Maybe the full day version would be a better option, if you've got the time. I didn't, so this option suited me just fine and showed me, just from peering out the bus window, how much there is to see in the wonderful city of Tokyo. You could spend weeks touring this place and still be amazed. Also, the tour ends in Ginza, so if you're into shopping and have time and a willingness to spend, be sure to have a walk around. Great tour, highly recommended!
Being my first visit to Japan .. I did not know how the tour worked..they explained about pick up service but no confirmation.. luckily the concierge at our hotel the Regency called sunrise tours and confirmed my reservation and pick up time.. It was easy and everything was so well organized . The tour was on a time schedule and that worked out well. The tour guide Mr Sato was great and he really did have a sense of humor.. The only downfall was that this tour did not have a drop off at the hotel and we had to catch the subway from the Ginza station.. but otherwise it was great .
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour - excellent way to see Tokyo if you have limited time. The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and so very pleasant and polite - all the tours in Tokyo were of the same excellent standard.
The tour guide was very informational and very humorous. This tour allowed you to see important highlights, but not enough time. If it was a hour longer it would've been perfect.
Tour was good and the guide was great and a lot of fun. There were 5 in our party of various ages and we all enjoyed it very much.
This is a good tour to take on the first day in Tokyo. It gives you an idea of how the city is layed out, and shows some of the highlights that everyone should see.
The tour itself gives a good insight to areas. Depending of time of year, I was there during the cherry blossom period it gets very congested at places, e.g. at Tokyo Tower where between queuing to get up and down, we had about 5 minutes to look at the view. Mr. Sato, who guided, had a great sense of humor and guided in an expert manner, with trivia as well as historical facts as we toured around. Well worth tour to take early in your travel!
A well planned trip which would have been much more enjoyable in better weather. We couldn't see a great deal from the Tokyo Tower because of mist, low cloud and poor visibility and the time spent in the Asakusa market district was pretty miserable in the cold and rain. Not the fault of Viator however, the trip did provide a good overview of Tokyo for us to go back and explore at our leisure.
The English-speaking Japanese guide we had on this tour was fabulous. He was well-spoken and very interesting.
Tokyo Tower Observatory and Asakusa Temple were impressive, but the time to enjoy these wonderful places was too short.
