What You Can Expect
Your full-day tour from Toronto takes you in air-conditioned comfort through the breathtaking scenery of the orchard-laden Niagara Peninsula to Niagara Falls. You'll get to see as well as experience the grandeur beauty of the Niagara Falls from the Canadian side. Do your own thing at the falls for the afternoon (approx. 3 hours) but don't forget to take a ride on the Hornblower Niagara Cruises boat, included in the cost of the tour. If the boats aren't operating (end October to mid April depending on weather conditions), you can experience the spectacular presentation on the falls at the Imax Theater.
Your freedom visit to Niagara Falls continues by coach to the stunning Whirlpool Rapids observation deck. You'll visit the Floral Clock, then travel through the picturesque historic community of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Your day trip to Niagara Falls from Toronto concludes with a stop at a local winery.
It was a great tour. Our guide was very good, Niagara Falls and N. on the Lakes was awesome but the wine tasting was disappointing.
We had a wonderful day and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Started dubiously, picked up in pouring rain from our hotel in Toronto, but weather steadily improved and couldn't have been better at Niagara. Our guide for the day was Judy who was extremely knowledgable, charming and witty and had time for all her day trippers on the coach. We opted against the buffet lunch and did our own thing, which allowed us to spend an hour or so in the delightful park opposite the Sheraton. As the last hotel drop off we got back pretty late and exhausted but this tour is a must for anyone visiting Toronto for more than a day.
My wife and I did this tour on a recent visit to Toronto. It was first class!! It is about an hour and a half from Toronto to Niagara. The tour guide, Judy, made this time fly as she was very entertaining and informative. She was also really helpful throughout the day. I cannot praise her highly enough.
When we arrived at Niagara, there was the option of doing a helicopter flight over the falls at extra cost. I would highly recommend doing this as the views were spectacular. It is a fairly short flight 12 minutes, but it is excellent.
When we arrived at the falls, we had plenty of time to view the falls, have lunch, walk around Niagara before going on the Hornblower to go right up to the falls.
After the visit to Niagara, we spent about an hour in Niagara on the Lake. It is a lovely town to visit and very different to the area around Niagara falls. There are lots of independent shops, so it is a good time to pick up on gifts.
Before leaving for Toronto there was a final stop, which was fairly brief, for wine tasting. This was basically done to sell local wines. This is not a complaint from me, as we got to try and purchased 'ice wine', which was very nice.
Overall, I cannot fault any aspect of this trip and cannot recommend it highly enough. It was a very busy day, but a day I wont forget in a hurry!!
vgood tour but too long 9hrs
Whole day, great experience.
This trip was totally AWESOME!!!!!! My husband and myself both enjoyed EVERY minute. Grant and Tom were EXCELLENT. Would defiantly do it again. Thank you
This is great well organised trip with a little bit of everything thrown in. Be prepared though it's along day starting at 9.30am and getting back to town around 8pm. Emil the guide and Ron the driver were the backbone of all the activities for our tour. If you have the money it's well worth including the helicopter flight if you want to get an even better perspective of the falls. Don't sort change yourself by opting out of lunch! The buffet lunch in the Sheraton is fabulous along with the great view from the top floor. Obviously the star attraction never disappoints and is my 8th Wonder of the World,
My only disappointment was that we only got to spend 30 or so minutes in Niagara on the lakes town. It's a great little town to explore and eat, though there is a separate tour available to visit this on its own.
So this was thoroughly enjoyable day out and well worth the expense.
We enjoyed our trip to Niagara very much and had the best tour guide. He was very informative and very congenial.
Tour was excellent for the value. It started at 10am and ended about 7.30-8pm. hotel pick up was not possible on my chosen day due to Panam games traffic so made way to coach station in downtown which was 5 mins away from my hotel Chelsea. Was dropped off at the hotel on way back. Booked it in uk before leaving for toronto. Booked tour without lunch but changed mind when at Niagara Falls as it was at Sheraton hotel with a fantastic view- paid extra 25cad to our guide Judy.the buffet lunch was again good value for money: three course with hot drink included.
Our Guide Judy was excellent with her knowledge and manners through out.
If possible take the helicopter ride which was well worth it : 111cad : about 55. Great views.
I am a teetotaller so was offered delicious grape juice sample. instead of wine at the winery.
I was not made to feel to give a tip at the end of the tour but I did as Judy and the driver were excellent: gave 10 cad.
What's not to love about a trip to one of the most iconic natural phenomenon in the world? A fab day out, although I could've done without the winery. Make sure you get the lunch option -it's fantastic value. Many thanks to the excellent guide, Emil
