Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Niagara Falls Freedom Day Trip from Toronto. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
We had an excellent time. Our guide Tim was a wealth of knowledge and very helpful. Hotel pick up/ drop off was very smooth. There were plenty of stops with adequate time at each. Other than the big stop at the Falls, we had stops at Niagara on the Lake as well as a stop to try Ice Wine. Both of which were very pleasant stops.
My 2nd tour booked by Viator. Really professional tour company. Will use them everytime. With the money paid I would have expected lunch to be included. We decided to have lunch (at an extra cost of CAD25 each) with the rest of the group who had it included in their tour price. The full view of the Niagra falls as you have lunch is an excellent idea. Again an excellent tour guide. We chose to pay for a tour rather than been taken by family who live in Toronto as you get to see much more, and learn much more and well organised. All runs smoothly.
I loved the trip! It was amazing, wonderful organizes, very helpful staff!
Excellent tour. Informative and fun. Both the guide and driver were professional and friendly.
Excellent tour, the falls were just out of this world! If you own a good weather jacket, bring it for the boat trip as their ponchos won't do you much good next to the mighty falls! We also really enjoyed Niagara-on-the-lake and the visit to the Pillitteri winery. It was suitably timed if it wasn't delayed by the helicopter ride booked as an extra by few people. The freedom day trip gave us the opportunity to have a picnic in the parc overlooking the falls, rather than being stuck in a restaurant, which was ideal. Guide seemed knowledgeable although it felt like she was confusing herself at times.
We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Our tour guide and driver were very knowledgeable and quite entertaining. Our time at the falls was great even though it was very crowded because our bus dropped us off right in front of the falls and since we were provided our tickets for boat ride, we did not have to wait in long lines to buy tickets for boat, which is awesome ride. Wish we would have had more time in Niagara by the Lake but it also started raining so turned out ok. Could have done without the winery stop since it was more about buying wine than touring the winery. Nice, comfortable ride to and from Toronto.....
The whole experience was very good with the added choice of seeing the falls from a helicopter (charged at source ) this gave the trip a bigger impact .
The boat trip was fantastic even getting wet was fun and getting that close gave it a very personal feeling .
It is a must do trip and one off the must do list 10 out of 10
All ran like clockwork! From the moment we were picked up on time from the hotel to the end of the trip.
Great and chatty guide Emile couldn't have been more helpful and informative - a genuinely nice guy. The boat trip was a lot of fun. The Falls are awe-inspiring, the town of Niagara itself is horrible and tacky, but the trips to charming Niagara on the Lake and the wine farm were very worthwhile. A good day out!
My husband and I enjoyed this tour! Our guide was knowledgeable, the driver was great and all the stops were the right amount of time. I would definitely recommend to anyone!
Excellent tour. Very knowledgable tour guide and both driver and guide friendly. Everything well organised, only slight downside was generally only got half an hour at each location.
Great day - would have liked a bit longer at Niagara on the Lake but the wine tasting was brilliant! Maid of the Mist was a brilliant trip but its a bit of a free for all so that took a long time to get everyone through, on the boat and back to the bus - left not much time for the gift shop! Other than that a great tour!!
What a fantastic day, our MC for the day, Emile, played tour guide, general entertainer, comedian, singer and 'Elvis' . He also went the extra mile to ensure me and my family had the experience we wanted i.e. a picnic overlooking the magnificent falls. We stopped off at a vineyard for tasting, and a lesson in 'how to' on the way and on the way back we visited the past at Niagara-on-the-lake. Not even mentioned the falls as they speak for themselves. Well done all concerned, 5*++.
