What You Can Expect
Start your day with a drive through town, including a stop at Fort King George. There, enjoy the gorgeous panoramic city view and visit the fort's museum for a look into the structure's history.
Back on board the bus, leave town via the Windward Road, which winds along the island's coast. Cross rushing rivers bordered with dense tropical vegetation and pass several small villages.
Stop at the Richmond Great House, a restored sugar plantation house that dates from the 900s. Continue through Speyside and Roxborough, towns on the coast that overlook the sparkling turquoise water. Stop for lunch (own expense) at Jemma's Tree House Restaurant in Speyside.
Reach Charlotteville at the Northern tip of the island, a charming fishing village in the shadow of Pigeon Peak.
Return to Scarborough via the Atlantic coast road for drop-off back at your hotel or guest house.
We spent a fantastic day with Pete our driver - it was just us and Pete so we had a really personal tour. Pete is extremely knowledgeable about the island and it's wildlife so we really felt like we got to know the island after the time we spent with him. Please note though that the title of this tour is misleading - there is no Plantation Tour! Otherwise a really great day.
Was a great day out, gives you a good idea of what to see on the first day out. Worthwhile.

A good introduction to nearly every part of the island. Recommend not doing the tour on a Saturday as many island businesses and attractions are closed.
A total disaster!
Peter the driver-guide was drunk or high on something. He did not assist the passengers in boarding the van, especially lady who has physical disability.
