The excursion was a great deal of fun and the area was indescribably beautiful. Our guides, Fabian and Gloria, were funny and entertaining and very knowledgeable about the area. They maintained their humor and upbeat attitude despite some frustrations with the train schedules. The only draw back is that it is a lot of ground to cover in a day and the amount of time available in each of the villages was limited. However, it was an opportunity to see some incredible scenery and meet new people. The hike from Corniglia to Vernazzo is physically demanding but well worth it for the scenery. I would highly recommend this excursion for the exposure to this incredibly beautiful part of the country.
I can't believe I'm going to call this a 5, but I truly am! Julian and Fabian were our guides - they were extraordinary!! Lots of fun, really engaged, wanting to know us as much as they wanted to be know. It was a true community on this trip of 50. The hikes were hikes - not easy, but certainly not overwhelming. All I can say is KNOW YOUR WEATHER! The main hike is about 90-120 min depending on how many pictures or rests you take. 30 min towards the end of our hike, just as we were cresting the final turn towards the town, it started to sprinkle, turned to rain, turned to torrential down pours in about 15 min. Lightning and thunder storms started in the distance and soon were on top of us. We were the last of 6 on the mountain... our guide came running up to find us, gave us clear instructions and then ran further up to find the rest. As we came into the edge of town, a strike of lighting hit about 10 feet away from us - quite frightening when you're standing in 2" of water and it is pour past us like you're walking through a running stream. One of the guest houses we past, pulled us in to wait it out. He was such a lovely man! But we needed to get back... as we got into town, the rain began to slow and people shared their stories that the town had called a "Code Red" in fear of flooding and mud slights and told everyone to find higher ground. Julian and Fabian were amazing through it all... hugs, purchasing us all a glass of wine, giving us time to pull ourselves together, laughing, finding the bright side and bringing us through the rest of the remaining towns. Yup - it was a crazy, unexpected turn to the tour, but all 50 people on it became such a tight community and I was thrilled to be with them all. Great Tour!!
Amazing Tour! Our guide Angelo was great! He cared to talk to everyone to get to know us and make sure we were doing ok. Cool guy! Salvatore de driver also did a great job! Our included lunch was espectacular! The waitress was a little bit rude but Angelo made sure to take care of it! Great time!
Fabulous day, lavinia was great guide, supportive, encouraging, informative yet relaxed, would certainly recommend this tour.
We took this wonderful trip in August of this year. Our tour guides Angel and Julian were great. Both were very knowledgable about this beautiful part ogf Italy. We could not have seen so much in one day on our own. A highlight of our trip to florence!
Guides were brilliant. Well organised and professional. A totally amazing experience and a must do!!
Martina was fabulous and made sure the individual needs of everyone in our group were met. It is a long but day fabulous day. This trip gives you a snap shot of this exquisite, picturesque part of Italy. You have the option to walk or catch the train; we walked and the views were stunning. The boat ride is a highlight at the end of the day. We want to go back but this day trip is just superb!
This tour was amazing!!! Our tour guide, Lucca, was knowledgeable, funny, and friendly. We visited all 5 towns, had an amazing lunch.
My husband and I recently traveled to Ireland, Spain and Italy. We booked 4 excursions through Viator, and this one was our favorite! I am so glad we decided to go to Cinque Terre. We took the trip in late September and had fantastic hiking weather. We really enjoyed the pace/mix of this excursion. There was a good balance between traveling and being up and moving (we had other excursions where we literally sat on a bus/train the whole day). Likewise, there was a nice mix of being guided and then having time to explore on your own. Certainly, you will enjoy amazing views and delicious food. Our guides were Lavinia and Julian. They were very knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. Overall, we really felt this one was worth it!
Tour was well organized. Our tour guide, Lucca, was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was an enjoyable experience and worth doing.
Our trip was ONE truly amazing experience. Angel was a great host and guide for the day, super funny and relatable. He was one of the highlights of the hike. Of course i had no idea what i was in store for, but if you like adventure, HIKING, and amazing views don't think anymore and get this trip. You will absolutely love it! and you will feel very accomplished afterwards!!! 3 The Annunziata's
Had a wonderful time with Martina and Fabien. Well planned and informative tour. Challenging yet manageable hike through beautiful towns. Well paced and surprisingly excellent meal provided. Great variety of activities presented by warm, intelligent, thoughtful guides.

Well organised tour, beautiful lunch, great scenery and boat ride and the optional wine tasting capped off a brilliant day.
One of the high points in our trip to Italy! The villages and Mediterranean were of course beautiful. This was a nice change of pace from the cities and museums. Our guides were fantastic. As Freddie said, we have no problems only solutions. There were several of us that decided to skip the 2nd part of the hike after lunch. There were no judgements, Fabian stayed with us and took us by train to the next stop Vernazza. It was a perfect place to spend some extra time waiting for the hiking contingent. Time for the dipping our feet in the gorgeous Mediterranean, and sipping some Wine. Freddie also gave us lots of tips as to what to try along the way in each town. We did get to take the boat and that gave us some breathtaking views. Such a good tour. Be prepared with camera and clock, though Italians always run late, you need to be ontime for Trains and boat to take advantage of all that is planned.
