Our 16 year old son picked this tour for his birthday. He loves vampires and San Francisco. He was out of his mind happy and even thanked us twice the next day. WOW! The rest of us loved the intricate story told and a good time. Definitely a tour for the family. But remember to bring a warm cape!

I remember my mother coming up to me one day asking me if I would like to go on a vampire tour. I was a little taken aback since I honestly didn't know such tours existed. I guess I always thought vampires were consider a taboo to the American culture but with the SF Vampire Walking Tour, I was definitely proven wrong. Just when I thought I knew most of a vampire's way of life I read novels, watch television series, and research vampires quite often, the Vampire Tour really taught me a thing or two about a true vampire's lifestyle.
Mixed in with tons of history of SF buildings around Nob Hill, the Vampire Tour leader fills in audiences with the underground life of vampires while also giving many humorous, yet interesting anecdotes of Nob Hill's historic buildings, including the Fairmont Hotel and many true facts about the early settling families of SF. One does not have to be an avid vampire enthusiast to truly enjoy the tour. If all else fails on a Saturday night, the Vampire Tour is the perfect way to spend your night! I bet it's even more fitting around Halloween! The tour leader is confident, delightful, and well, of course, a VAMPIRE!
I do HIGHLY suggest that if you go on this tour, make sure you bring a jacket and a nice, hot cup of coffee! We can't all be vampires and stand the cold freely! After this tour, you'll realize that vampires don't really suck.
I took my daughter for her 16th birthday and her teenage sister and cousin and her friend. The girls and I really enjoyed this spooky historical adventure. I know that this is something they will enjoy telling all their friends about and remember all their lives.

Of all the tours we did in San Francisco, this was by far the best! I mean, they were all good, but this is an absolute must! Mina is a lovely lady and the tour is very original, what can I say. And I could not believe 2 hours could go by so fast - I could have easily gone on for longer and wished it would! All I shall add is that people should not be put off with this being a walking tour in San Francisco. There was very little hill walking (the worst if you could call it that was halfway down a short street with a gentle incline by San Francisco standards). You MUST do this tour.

It was a dark and rainy evening....when a very friendly vampire invited us to walk with her. This was a great walking tour, rain and all. Everyone should do it, the history of the city was fun to hear. I plan to go again when I return.

Great tour, a lot of fun. Nob Hill is obviously quite steep, so I recommend taking the cable cars up the hill, or if you want to avoid the crowds and price, you can take the 1-California MUNI bus from the Embarcadero station area.

Fun, with some good history as a bonus. Our guide was terrific. The scripted commentary was used as a starting point for discussion of the real historical events. Would recommend.

This was awesome!!! Not only was she full of insightful stories and wonderful history, she was really really nice and enthusiastic and the added vampire stuff made it all the more entertaining! The history was spooky too and you'll definitely learn a little about the darker side of SF.

We learned some interesting facts and history about the Nob Hill area and some of its past residents.

This was mostly a history of Nob Hill with a dash of vampire lore. The guide was very kind, enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

I enjoyed the tour. However, I expected more walking around and it wasn't particularly spooky.

This was a disappointing tour. We had taken the ghost hunting tour in SF years ago and loved it because it was suspenseful, historically informative, authentic, yet entertaining in a fun way. Even if you don't believe in ghosts, you still learned about the latest research, sightings, etc. The vampire tour was almost pure fluff based on a script the guide wrote. Yes, it had a lot of history intertwined, but most had nothing to do with vampires or even hinted at a connection. The stories that did have a connection were obviously made up. It felt like a script the whole way through and barely held our attention.
