Our family of five had a wonderful time on this tour, bicycling on a sunny day down a safe and scenic bike path and stopping for Tapas/lunch and seeing the historic old town. Our English guide, Jose, was friendly and responsive to our questions. There were no others on the English tour, so it was great for us. On the same day, there was a large Dutch tour. Half way thru the tour, a bike tech was there to check our bikes. We arrived by taxi, since the bike shop is a long way from where we were staying at the beach (a short way from the bike paths); after the bike tour we returned to the beach area easily by metro/public transport. We felt it was good value to have the bikes, the tour guide, and the lunch.
Our tour was great, it was everything that was promised and even a little bit more. Our guide was excellent, very friendly and the tour covered all the right aspects of Valencia. We had an exciting time, learned a lot and the tapas was just perfect! Would easily recommend to anyone who wants to get a good overview of what Valencia is by bike!
This was a fun but short tour. We meet up with the tour guide which from the port was not clear how to get there. After a bit of a language barrier trying to find out about busses we took a cab over to the bike rental shop and met a very pleasant guide named Jose. He was funny and knowledgable and a great guide. He was very tight with the schedule and we had no free time. the day was sunny and thetour was great.
We requested for the tour to be in Dutch seeing that my mother's primary language is Dutch and she was looking forward to listen to some of the historical explanations. When we arrived, there was no reservation for us and the Dutch tour group was full so we were placed in a German/English tour group. Once on our way I think they found our reservation and realized that we had tapas included in the tour. Thus, during the first part of the tour the route of everyone had to be changed due to this. We had a nice and knowledgeable guide, but she was racing pretty much ahead of the group at times, leaving people behind who couldn't always see on coming traffic from small side streets. With experienced bikers this is not as much of a problem than with those who never use a bike. Then the tapas was a sad display. Placed on the table ahead of us - taken our seats a bit later. Tapas included a piece of egg, a few slices of dried up salami (iberico) and 2 hard pieces of manchego (?) cheese. We also had a small glass of beer. We skipped several sites including the municipality square and the royal gardens. When I addressed this issue, the tour guide stated that this is never included and that it wasn't on the site. Well it is on the itinerary online, so maybe time to update the site if they have never toured there. I guess, overall the tour was okay, but certainly not worth $85 for two people. We rented bikes from the same company: ValenciaBikes, which was a far better deal $13 per bike for 24 hours.
