An excellent tour and a good way to see Valencia. The guide, Eric, was both knowledgeable and entertaining. For those of you who are cyclists don't worry Valencia is nice and flat and the pace of the cycle is very gentle.
There were 6 of us from our cruise ship and another couple and our guide, Catherine I believe, was excellent. Her English was excellent and she provided us with just enough history to be interesting. Someone had suggested that Valencia was the perfect spot to do a bike tour, and they were right! With the lovely 'green space' they have along the old river bed, we were able to more safely negotiate the traffic in the city.
We saw some of the old town and then to the new edge of the city to see the new 'cultural' construction.
After the tour we walked back into the old town to go into some of the churches we'd seen from the outside. We also went into the town market to sample some local cuisine.
I would give this tour 5 starts for sure.
When we arrived the equipment was ready for us, and helmets were provided when I requested. The equipment was in excellent condition.
This was a fabulous tour of the city....highlights all the key points and a wonderful bikeride. Claire was great tour guide, very knowledgeable and informative. We booked this tour instead of taking one from our cruise ship, and it was well worth the money and the time. If you have only one day in Valencia and do this tour, remember that all the shops close at two so not much time for shopping, but the sites and bike tour are well worth the time.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Valencia. I saw so much and, with my limited Spanish, was so relieved that the tour was conducted in English. The guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. It was a wonderful way to be introduced to beautiful Valencia.
EXCELLENT! A fantastic way of getting around the sights of Valencia in a limited amount of time and in high temperatures. Our guide was also excellent. Can't remember his name but he was Belgian and he clearly loved his job and revelled in the company of us all. He was extremely knowledgable with a good sense of humour. His personality shone through. I could thoroughly recommend this tour
A bottle of water as part of the rental fee would have been extremely appreciated. The trip was good and the guide knowledgeable. Bikes were in so-so condition.
A great way to see the city and get a feeling of where everything is without getting sore feet and feeling drained at the end of the day, instead you feel energised - just do it!
Awesome day out - we had two tour guides which was even better as they both knew different aspects of the city... Then we were taken for beers to refresh :) lovely
Good experience - Valencia is fairly flat so not too strenuous.More time could have been spent around the old city, as there was a 30 minute break, when a 10 minute one would have sufficed
Good tour of the city. Easy riding, mostly level land. Tour guide was knowledgeable.
We saw a lot of the great buildings (Arts and Sciences are incredible) and heard a short history on the tour, but most of the group was Dutch speaking so there was a lot of just sitting around waiting for the explanation in English. And when we had had our explanation we were rushed into and out of the Cathedral which we could have seen when they were having the Dutch translation provided. The tour guides were helpful in answering our questions on good places to eat and drink around Valencia. There was also a lunch stop we didn't know about, so there was a lot less cycling than we were hoping for. All in all, I would say an average tour but if they made just an English one it would be good.
