You then have the option to participate in an exciting outdoor activity (at additional cost). In the summer, choose to rock climb, enjoy a zipline adventure or take a horseback ride; in the winter, go dog sledding, ice climbing or ice fishing. You can also choose to visit the wildlife preserve, home to moose, woodland caribou, mule deer, elk, wood bison, lynx and stone sheep.
After dinner, you’ll be picked up and driven 30 minutes to a heated viewing facility away from the city lights. Sit around the campfire and enjoy hot drinks, snacks and roasted marshmallows as you soak in the quiet atmosphere and admire the breathtaking northern lights display.
To the north, you’ll see an eerie, sulfurous-green sheen ripple into the sky, slowly growing and then bursting across the full expanse of the sky. This incredible spectacle -- which happens only in the late fall and winter -- is one of the most mystical natural phenomena known to mankind, and this is your unique opportunity to be a part of it!
