Don' miss this trip! Quick way to Vancouver Island to start day and scenic run back via coach/ferry. Driver did do drop off for those who wanted.
Enjoyed this trip very much. Liked to experience both the Ferry and the Seaplane!
It is a, great waiting lounge at Vancouver, where we were offered coffee and croissants. The flight over to Victoria was lovely. I thought we had a little tour of Victoria included, but that did not materialise. Otherwise I would recommend the trip!
Great day trip and worth paying the extra to do the Vancouver to Victoria leg of the tour by seaplane. The views during take off and landing were amazing. The return leg of 3.5 hours may sound daunting, but a substantial part of this is on the ferry and weather permitting you will be able to enjoy more amazing views from on deck. Note, it is important that you contact the operator of your tour, as explained in your voucher, to get the times of your plane and bus bookings. These will not come from Viator.
Wonderful to see our children and be shown some wonderful amazing vitas and experience some challanges, and the culture of another country.
The sea plane and Victoria Island are wonderful. The 45 minute bus ride to the ferry that then took us back to Vancover (11/2 Hours) then a 45 minute bus ride to the hotel was not expected. It went fine. The ferry had a good buffet.
Flying in a seaplane was the most amazing experience. We were very fortunate as it was a beautiful sunny calm day. My husband got to sit in the co-pilot's seat which was an added bonus. The trip back on the ferry was very pleasant. All in all we had a fabulous day.
Great experience - smooth ride on seaplane and back on ferry. Victoria is lovely and worth visiting for the day.
First time on a seaplane, and what a great experience! Cloudless blue sky, not a breath of wind and sitting next to the pilot - what's not to like? The journey from Vancouver to Victoria was about 40 minutes with superb clear-as-a-bell views over north and west Vancouver, Vancouver Island and the approach into Victoria harbour. I didn't realise that Victoria is the capital of British Colombia, but it is. After spending a few hours in the city, there was a 40 minutes coach drive to the BC Ferries terminal at Sydney, then a 90 minutes boat journey back to south Vancouver. An added bonus was seeing a pod of 6 'killer' whales pass by the ferry boat on the starboard side. This was a great trip and one I would highly recommend, although maybe I wouldn't have said that if the wind had been high or visibility not so good.
Great flight however I would return by air and not the ferry as it would give more time to explore the Island and town.
Easy and very professional to get to a destination faster and have 360 degrees view. Enjoy it immensely.
I recommend it to everyone. It was wonderful. I would repeat with a heartbeat!
Excellent trip, very well organized. The combination of air and sea was perfect. Enjoyed having the freedom of returning on whichever ferry we wanted.
I was visiting a friend and decided to take the seaplane across to Victoria, spend the day there and then take the ferry and bus back to Vancouver. This was a splendid way to spend the day. Victoria is interesting, vibrant I would recommend a visit to anyone. Viator Tours were a great company to work with and I would recommend them for any tours to Victoria.
Our first ever flight in a seaplane. Staff at check-in were very helpful, young female pilot was brilliant, Victoria is delightful and the ferry trip back was amazing. One 'complaint' - our original booking didn't give the time of departure so I had to do w bit of emailing to get that information.
The trip was well organised and most enjoyable. Definately worth taking the seaplane and ferry to and from Victoria. Great views of the island both from the plane and the boat with lots to do for the day in Victoria and plenty of good restaurants to keep you fed. Would recommend everyone to take this trip when visiting Vancouver!!!!!
I can't recommend this trip enough. A wonderful day out from Vancouver started with the flight to Victoria. Check in was hassle free and we waited in the comfortable lounge, with a complimentary coffee, watching the seaplanes readying for take off. Boarding was simple and we settled in for a spectacular flight across the islands and inlets to Victoria. We buckled in and had stunning views of the city and mountains on take off before heading out to Vancouver Island. The captain gave full safety instructions and the flight was comfortable with no feeling of being bumped around in a small plane. As there are so few passengers on each flight, there are good views from the windows and no trouble seeing what you want to see.
We landed without a hitch and powered into the harbour in Victoria, with excellent views of the city's beautiful waterfront.
Our return journey was by bus and ferry. We had been given clear instructions on where to meet the bus and had a choice of four different timings. The journey to the ferry terminal was pleasant, through the city and then the countryside outside Victoria and in no time we were on the ferry.
The ferry ride was smooth and we were able to get food in the White Spot restaurant on board and relax on the deck in the sun. The bus then dropped us off in downtown Vancouver within easy walking distance of most hotels.
This was only our second day in Vancouver and was an excellent way to get out and about and see more of the surrounding area.
Very efficient. Everything went like clockwork. Worth every penny.
An excellent day out !
Would also recommend taking a hop on hop off bus tour around Victoria to make sure you get to see as much as possible.
