Enjoyed this trip very much. Liked to experience both the Ferry and the Seaplane!
It is a, great waiting lounge at Vancouver, where we were offered coffee and croissants. The flight over to Victoria was lovely. I thought we had a little tour of Victoria included, but that did not materialise. Otherwise I would recommend the trip!
Great day trip and worth paying the extra to do the Vancouver to Victoria leg of the tour by seaplane. The views during take off and landing were amazing. The return leg of 3.5 hours may sound daunting, but a substantial part of this is on the ferry and weather permitting you will be able to enjoy more amazing views from on deck. Note, it is important that you contact the operator of your tour, as explained in your voucher, to get the times of your plane and bus bookings. These will not come from Viator.
Wonderful to see our children and be shown some wonderful amazing vitas and experience some challanges, and the culture of another country.
The sea plane and Victoria Island are wonderful. The 45 minute bus ride to the ferry that then took us back to Vancover (11/2 Hours) then a 45 minute bus ride to the hotel was not expected. It went fine. The ferry had a good buffet.
Flying in a seaplane was the most amazing experience. We were very fortunate as it was a beautiful sunny calm day. My husband got to sit in the co-pilot's seat which was an added bonus. The trip back on the ferry was very pleasant. All in all we had a fabulous day.
Great experience - smooth ride on seaplane and back on ferry. Victoria is lovely and worth visiting for the day.
First time on a seaplane, and what a great experience! Cloudless blue sky, not a breath of wind and sitting next to the pilot - what's not to like? The journey from Vancouver to Victoria was about 40 minutes with superb clear-as-a-bell views over north and west Vancouver, Vancouver Island and the approach into Victoria harbour. I didn't realise that Victoria is the capital of British Colombia, but it is. After spending a few hours in the city, there was a 40 minutes coach drive to the BC Ferries terminal at Sydney, then a 90 minutes boat journey back to south Vancouver. An added bonus was seeing a pod of 6 'killer' whales pass by the ferry boat on the starboard side. This was a great trip and one I would highly recommend, although maybe I wouldn't have said that if the wind had been high or visibility not so good.
Great flight however I would return by air and not the ferry as it would give more time to explore the Island and town.
