Rocky Mountaineer Train
Start the day with a 3.5-hour train excursion aboard the Rocky Mountaineer railway. Travel along the picturesque Howe Sound, through the mighty Cheakamus Canyon, across a trestle bridge and past an extinct volcano. The train boasts extra legroom, large windows and a light breakfast (northbound) or appetizers (southbound) served at your seat. Upgrade your train journey to the Glacier Dome Rail Car seats, which includes domed windows for panoramic views, reclining seats, an exclusive lounge area, outdoor space and a gourmet hot breakfast (northbound) or heavy appetizers (southbound) served at your seat.
Once you arrive in Whistler, spend the afternoon exploring Whistler Village. Sitting at the base of Blackcomb Mountain, Whistler Village and has a variety of shops and restaurants ranging from casual to fine dining, and is lovely to stroll through. If you want to explore Blackcomb Mountain itself, you don't have to be on skis! Take a gondola ride, right from Whistler Village, up the mountain and then the Peak 2 Peak Gondola, the world's longest unsupported gondola, between both mountain peaks.
After an afternoon in Whistler Village, travel back to Vancouver by comfortable floatplane for a 45-minute sunset flight offering incredible views of the awe-inspiring area. Soar over glaciers, the world-renowned volcanoes of Garibaldi Park and spectacular Vancouver Harbor.
You can also choose to enjoy this itinerary in reverse, with the flight first and a beautiful sunset train trip back to Vancouver. A complimentary shuttle between the train depot in Whistler, Whistler Village and the seaplane airport is included.

the trip was everything we expected and more from the moment we were picked up at the hotel till the second we stepped off the plane in Vancouver Harbour the "Rocky Mountaineer was unbelievable with picture postcard views for the entire 4 hours, Our hostess on board the train was so informative and helpful and the sevice was A+. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, we arrived at Whistler.the cablecar ride to the summit was beautiful, but then we too
k the "peak-to- peak" gondola and the experience reached a new level. finishing off with a floatplane ride over the mountains and a landing in Vancouver Harbour was the icing on the cake. Out of the entire 31 days we were away from our home in Australia - this was my wifes favourite experience!!!!
