What You Can Expect

Venice Gondola Ride and Serenade

Enjoy a shared gondola ride and serenade on the Venetian waterways

You can walk around Venice. You could take a water taxi. But, really, there's only one way to get around La Serenissima, as this city of bridges and canals is nicknamed. And that way is by gondola. Decide to take one of four starting times when you book and then, on the day of the ride, head to the gondola pier at Piazza Santa Maria del Giglio in the center of Venice.

After your arrival, hop on the shared six-seater gondola and sit back and let to your gondolier, clad in traditional clothing, cruise you through the wide and narrow, popular and offbeat canals through Venice. Each gondola holds six people and you will be part of a flotilla of eight gondolas floating together. See the city's main landmarks, including the Rialto Bridge, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, the Grand Canal and various centuries-old palaces.

At one point during the ride, a singer will board your boat and begin crooning traditional Venetian tunes as you float along the canals. Sit back and let your ears take in the gorgeous songs and lose yourself in the sound and the look of Venice.

After about 35 minutes of floating through this magical city, return to the pier where your gondola ride finishes.

Finding the place where the ride starts was like mission impossible. Then when you finally get there the Gondola guys were not helpful. But the ride was nice and the guy who sings was fantastic.

Highly recommend the serenade tour! It was entertaining and relaxing. It would have been an awkwardly quiet ride otherwise. Our gondolier was friendly and great, not at all immature like I've read in some other reviews. I wish the boat had comfortable seats on both ends we were lucky to snag the comfortable seat on the end, but our friends were cramped in the middle seats opposite eachother and were a bit worried they might fall in. We caught the sunset which made it great for photos! Overall a wonderful experience.

Very touristy, but you have to ride a gondola while in Venice! Get in the boat first for the best seat

We were in the boat with the accordian player and the singer! Trip was the right length. Loved cruising on the back streets of Venice.

This is our second time with this company. I called the day of our reservation because it was raining and cold and asked if I could change my reservation to the next day. There was no problem at all. It's easy to find and the ride and music was perfect
