This was actually a lot of fun. I am not artistic in the least - but I enjoyed this. The history of the masks was fascinating - and the lady who led the workshop was helpful so my mask turned out pretty decent. They have some paint techniques that they teach you that are really easy even for someone as non-artistic as myself. You may want to bring some cash to buy some of their professional masks after though! I didn't have cash on me and I couldn't find an ATM nearby to get some - I was disappointed because I really wanted one of their masks and they didn't take credit cards. These are the *real* deal - not that cheap plastic stuff you find everywhere else in Venice. These people know their stuff.

This was an awesome experience; mask teachers were super-friendly, very knowledgeable, and very encouraging :) My mom and I were pretty slow painters, but they let us take our time and we never felt rushed or like they were trying to get rid of us. The Viator rep was easy to find, and the mask shop was nearby, so it wasn't much of a walk (I have seen some tours where the meeting place is far from the actual locale - so annoying). Overall, a great experience! I learned a lot about the history of the Venetian masks, as well as about how they are made, and the painting isn't difficult - you can make something really awesome even if you're not confident in your artistic skills!

Great I structure with lots of interesting information. It was wonderful to make your own mask. We learned about all different techniques and got to experiment with as many as we wanted. Plus, it was possible to pick whatever size or style you wanted to paint. I was thrilled!!!

An interesting experience in a relaxed manner. Only a small group so lots of attention and we were pleased with our results.

Event was fantastic, but location did not have AC (which we understand is not always available in Europe), apart from that minor quibble, it would have been five stars.

This was cancelled last minute. I spoke with a fellow to make new arrangements. We swapped it for a walking tour and gondola ride. He was very helpful. I must commend him on his service as he offered this to us at no extra cost and to refund a further 30 percent of the original cost for the trouble. I have found good customer service rare in UK and Europe, and for your exceptional consideration, be assured we will return to VIATOR for further business. Thank you very much.

This was a great activity. I would certainly do it again. Great for adults and kids. A bit pricey, and you have to think how you are going to transport your mask home.Pity I was the only one doing the cIass that day, felt a bit self conscious with the guide watching me the whole time, however she was very nice.
