Met at airport
Transferred straight away to pier and then on to destination in venice city
On return had to wait a little longer than the meeting time given
All in all very good transfers
I would give it five stars because the driver was awesome. My complaint is that it clearly states (from your hotel.) The pick up for me was at a water taxi stand somewhat near my hotel. I purposely booked this with the understanding that I would be picked up at my hotel. It ended up being fine, but I think it is misleading.
Transfer person was not friendly at all and we got to train station way too early. Sat around for a good hour and a half, but I suppose better early than late.
Although the pick up was on time and again a fantastic ride on the canals, because it obviously is a shared service and had to fit it with other people it really was far too early for our needs. We needed to be at the rail station for between 10 to 10.30 for a 10.50 departure, but because of an 8.00 pick up we were hanging around at the station for over 2 hours. I would probably not use this service again for a return, now that I understand the transport system better in venice
We did have a private boat for this transfer to the train station which was nice. The only reason I rated this low was because the boat would only pick us up on their designated time, which meant we arrived at the train station 2 1/2 hours before our departure time. Departing from the train station is not like the airport….you only need to be at the train station 20-30 before your departure time.
If you are looking for a direct taxi, or have a lot of bags, then take the private option as you may have to walk a bit. If not, then this is a perfect option
