This tour was great. I wasn't so sure about Venice when first arriving but after this tour I had learned so much from our guide Francesca, I ended up not wanting to leave. It was great knowing about all the sights and little streets. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to learn some history.
Wonderful tour through the back streets of Venice and on to the Basilica of San Marco. Highly informative with lots of small bits of information that made it special.
This tour was very informative and well worth the time and money. Our guide was charming and the visit to St Marks cathedral was the highlight.
Excellent tour. Guide took us to places where history really comes to life. Lot of experience and information given. Recommended for people with a thirst to know the place.
Our tour guide, Arianna, was wonderful. She was highly educated, spoke English well, and knew so much about the art and the history. She was lively and interesting, and made the heat and the crowds much more bearable. This was one of our favorite tours on our month-long trip in Europe. Also, the fact we had only a small group was great. There was a mix-up at the beginning, though. nothing to do with Arianna The documents said the tour started at 2:00pm, and we waited and waited, thinking we were in the wrong spot. We finally found a representative, who indicated the tour time had been changed to 2:30pm --- we had not received any notice of that!
Susan was excellent! Knowledgeable and fun. All nine of learned a great deal. We would do it again. Thank you.
AWESOME tour...awesome guide! Susan's knowledge of Venice was amazing and she took us into some rarely seen back alleys with gorgeous views. I really enjoyed the small group tour and getting to see the inside of the Basilica and continuing to the Doge's palace.
Outstanding! Our guide Claudia? was very knowledgeable about the history, the architecture, and the stories of Venice. Skip the line tours are wonderful, especially when your time is short in a city. We definitely saw the most important sights and hopefully we can return for the rest this city has to offer another. We loved the headsets in a city packed with tourists and talking tour guides. This was a fantastic experience.
Excellent really enjoyed it and our tour guidewas fantastic and kept us informed at every stage of teh trip. Really worth the money
Well this was superb, weather challenging but our first guide Monica made the Bert of it !
The guide Moses for the Basillica was excellent ,knowledgeable, interesting with a wonderful sense of humour on a day when the elements were against him.
A thoroughly professional service well worth the price!!
Our guide was amazing... She had a phd in art history and taught at the university level during the school year. She had also lived in Venice for 20 years, so she knew her stuff. More than that, she was knowledgable, friendly, interesting - with neat stories to share. Her presence really deepened the experience of the neighborhood we walked through, the art we saw, the intrigue of the Doge's palace. It was definitely worth it.
I think that this was a fantastic excursion and it really was worth paying the money to skip the line. Our tour guide was very helpful and informative. I would recommend to all
SO happy we did this tour! Coming to Venice for the first time, we started with the tour in the hope to gain some familiarity to a few areas.. It definitely made navigating easier in the days after! Our guide was fantastic, we learnt a lot about Venice just in these couple of hours. We added on the tour for the Doge's Palace after Basilica di San Marco and were so glad we did - would recommend. Skipping the loooooong queue line with a tour group is always a bonus. If you're coming to Venice for the first time, this tour cannot come highly recommended :-
Very entertainig and keen guide, shame time in Basilica is limited but this is not the fault of the trip.
Elena was an amazing tourguide! She was super informative, funny and accommodating. I really liked hearing her talk about all of the different spots including some of her opinions. Both funny and insightful.
Our guide was very knowledeable and knew her stuff! My only recommendation would be to take your own headset/earphones. The ones furnished on the trip weren't great and were hard to hear on.
Exceptionally good guide who told us many interesting and fascinating facts and anecdotes. She was very friendly and very knowledgeable and answered all questions asked.
Great tour would recommend it to anyone and our guide marco was exellent
Very good tour that gave us a good feel for the city. Guide was excellent.
Our tour guide was excellent and very informative, even bringing visual guides with diagrams in order to explain the more technically complex aspects of Venetian Art and Architectural history. The only catch is that I would prefer the instructions to state that visitors are not allowed LARGE umbrellas VS.small foldable umbrellas into the Dodge palace since it rained terribly on the day of the tour and it was clear that some visitors were unprepared for the heavy downpour. All in all though, it was an amazing experience - the guide was very professional in spite of the bad weather and I would highly recommend it to visitors - especially those who are on a short trip but wish to learn about Venetian history in a short span of time.
