So much fun to see the prison cells, old archive rooms, attic, Casanova's cell, the torture room, and trial rooms in Doge's Palace. The guide was great and very helpful.
We definitely enjoyed this tour. The guide was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and did a great job presenting the information. she spent time answering questions at the end. After the Secret Itineraries tour we were left to see the Palace on our own. This was perfect. I would not miss the Secret Itineraries part, it's very special and well worth the time.
Very informative, learned much about Venice's history and its secularism.

This tour was the highlight of our stay in Venice. The behind the scenes areas that were shown to us were rich in history and intrigue. Our guide showed a real knowledge of the palace. The small group size added to the enjoyment.
My husband and I took this tour in 2000. When I returned to Venice this September with my daughter, I encouraged her to do the same. She was as impressed as we had been! The architecture, the art, the history as explained by the knowledgeable guide . . .all contributed to a fascinating morning. Well worth arising early on our first morning in Venice!
Highly recommend this tour. Excellent guide with right amount of information and humor to keep all age groups interested. Guides are easy to locate pre tour. Would use this tour company again. Maureen
Elena was so much fun! She was a wonderful storyteller, and was enthusiastic about what she was describing to us. The Secret Tour was a great choice for my family and I. We highly recommend this tour!
Great tour! I believe our tour guide was named Margo and she was the perfect combination of lots of knowledge and inside scoop while having a bit of fun with the group. Not a tour for anyone with mobility issues! Lots of stairs.
This tour was brilliant! Having access to the cells for both peasants and nobility and the court room was very interesting and our guide was great, full of anecdotes, wit and good humour. The system of earpieces was invaluable with all the winding stairs and passageways so nobody missed out. It was fascinating to see behind the scenes and hear about the Doge.
The secret itineraries tour was excellent value for money, it was very interesting well organised the guide was very informative we really enjoyed it and would highly recommend.

Guide was enthusiastic and informative. Everytrhing we hoped the tour would be.
I was so impressed with this tour. I really enjoyed our guide who was actually filling in for someone else. Unfortunately, I don't remember her name...she normally gives tours in French. She completely held my attention and had so many interesting stories to share. I highly recommend this tour very well done.
Excellent experience. The guide spoke very good english and was a medieval archeologist. We were the only 2 people on the tour. There is no doubt I would do this again. Wish that there was a tour option that would add the regular area of the palace.
Our tour was so interesting. The tour guide, whose name I unfortunately cannot remember was fantastic! Having the ability to see where the secret hallways and rooms where gave us a different perspective of the Doge. I highly recommend this tour!
Our guide was knowledgeable and did a great job. Tour was a bit on the pricey side for what it included.
Really enjoyed this tour. The prison cells were very interesting and the ceilings in the palace were out of this world. Daniella our guide was very informed and an excellent narrator.
We easily found the group and our guide was super and funny with excellent English. We went at a good pace. It was well worth the money.
super - well worth the money and time. Our guide was excellent. It is hot up the top of the building in the summer and that is why it is arranged early in the morning, so be grateful for that early start!
I was only able to go to the first half of the tour, but it was awesome. we learned a lot of the history of Venice, and I actually felt like I was experiencing Venice at the time that Doges Palace was in use. Great information about the prisoners. Seeing their cells and hearing their stories was living history. WE had a red-haired guide that was awesome! I don't remember her name.
This was excellent. Meeting place was clear and well organised and the guide was charming and witty with good English - despite it being her first tour in this language. Saw some interesting places not on the general tour and no queuing.
