The guide Stephanie was outstanding and very informative! We were met on time and the sights of the palace were unbelievable! The painting, frescoes and size of the rooms were mind-boggling----what wealth the Doges possessed-unfortunately mostly old men when they received the position-but had time for courtiers and partying---don't miss this tour-especially skipping the line-now with the summer season coming-loads of people now, thousands later!!!!
Fantastic tour that gives you a good overview of the history of Venice. No waiting in line and very friendly experienced staff.
We've been very happy with the explanations given by our guide, Stefania.
We enjoyed the tour and it was not very busy.
The guide on this tour was great. She clearly explained everything we saw. It was nice not to have to wait on line to enter.

Terrific tour, informative and interesting.
Was a great morning
Plenty of stairs and a couple of the areas are quite narrow
The guides English was great. She did wait until all were there to listen, and then did her explanations of the site. Not rushed or hurried. The fact that there were a great many steps should be part of the profile.
Our guide was excellent....she told us about the lives of the doges and also their servants, the visiting seamen and the poor people who lived in Venice at that time. It all came alive with her descriptions, given in perfect English. She explained in simple terms how the doges were elected, and how the system prevented any one family from taking control of Venice. She shared her love of Venice and its history, and we learnt so much from her. Thank you.
To improve the marketing....I thought the 'tour' included the rest of Venice, so was disappointed when we came to the end of the tour of the palace.
We had a great time on this tour with our guide Gina, she was very informative and also funny and slightly eccentric, she gave us a taste of what the Venetian people are like which was an added bonus. The tour itself was good and informative and gave us a brief history to beginnings and development of Venice, I especially liked that we got to walk over the Bridge of Sighs, having seen it from the outside it was interesting to see it from the inside too. Also on this tour we were given a ticket that gave us free entry to the Museo Correr which we used on another day, all in all a fabulous morning.
Learned more in two hours than in a year of off site study. Excellent guide, brilliant facility.
This was by far my favoriate tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and excited and proud of her city. Skipping the line is the best advice I could give for this tour especially in the summer. It's worth the money.
Absolutely fantastic. Our guide was excellent and the whole experience was brilliant. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a fantastic insight into the world of the Doge and also the various different rooms which we entered.
Great tour! The guide helps you to fully appreciate this wonderful palace. Don't go there without one!
We really enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide was Venetian and had an amazing wealth of knowledge of the Doges. It was very well organized, easy to find the meeting spot and they took care of everything.
Excellent tour, good value for money, excellent Guide Marina - really good. GIVE her a raise! Her English was excellent, her anecdotes amusing and her pace just right.

A remarkable tour guide. Excellent English with only a small accent. Her knowledge of Venice and its political history was impressive and she was very good in responding to questions. A native Venetian, her love of her hometown showed!
My daughter and I realy enjoyed this tour. Our guide was very knowledgable and gave very indepth information about the history of the Palace, its paintings and past occupants. It was great to actually pass throu the bridge of sighs and see the prison cells where Cassanova escaped, which was closed whilst undergoing repairs when we were there two years ago. Our entry ticket also gave us free entry into four other museums. We would recommend anyone visiting Venice to book this tour.
Really enjoyed this tour, the Dodges Palace is beautiful. The guide was really knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely recommend it!
A brilliant tour, made so by our knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, Arianne. She was terrific, told us so much about the history of Venice and the Doges and the various rooms in the magnificent palace, and did so in such an interesting way. An absolute must for any visitor to Venice! Thank you, Arianne.
Our guide was most knowledgeable, ran into her guiding other groups after our tour, raved about her in public..:-)
It would be great to stay longer in the Doge Palace after the tour. Maybe collection of equipment can be done inside?
Excellent guide - could not be faulted. Would recommend this trip to everyone. Marvellous insight in to what made Venice the city it was and is. First class.
