For my wife and I, the best part of this tour was the history of the city that our guide, Marina, shared with us and the tour of the residential streets and piazzas she took us on after our tour through St. Mark's. It gave us a taste and flavour of the city that we may have not discovered on our own and has provided inspiration for us to return at a future date and explore further.
Michelle was wonderful... great tour even in the rain and flooded square (actually pretty neat to be there when it is flooeded).
Although there were some technical difficulties that delayed the beginning of the tour, the guide was clear that she would extend her time with us, and she did. She was informative, interesting and moved at a good pace. We booked our tour while in Florence and had difficulty getting our voucher. We were originally scheduled for Thursday but couldn't locate where to meet the group. Viator was great about telling us to meet them Friday (and where specifically to go). Thanks!
Excellent tour. Began and ended on time. Avoided the waiting line at the Basilica. Guide was very informative.
Francisco was a superb guide, well-informed and patient. Tour of San mareco was great-abeautiful basilica!
Superb tour of Venice, would highly recommend. Guide was superb.
We really enjoyed our tour, so informative and interesting, sorry can't remember our guides name but she was great
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She shared both the history of Venice and St. Mark's as well as some insight about the Venice of today. An excellent experience.
Our tour guide was wonderful. A student of history and with a wonderful sense of humor, he brought Venice alive for us. We would never have appreciated the city without his assistance. In particular, he was able to navigate us the day we went to San Marco, even though it was several inches under water. Will never forget the charm and history of that city, thanks to him. Highly recommend!
Fairly easy to locate the meeting point.. lots of tourists turned up and we were sorted into groups of 25 and allocated a guide. Frederica was our local guide. She was very informative and at times even entertaining! We were all given receivers linked to her microphone so we could hear her at all times. She enlightened us about the Venetian floods, the history of trade and construction, the pitfalls of daily life as well as guiding us briefly through St Mark's Basillica and giving us the run down on the Doge palace and the amazing clock in the square. She considerately timed our tour to coincide with the midday chiming of the bronze statues on the top of the clock and allowed us plenty of opportunities to take photos along the way. (She even told us the best gelati was from the Grom company and we agree they're delicious!)
Well worth taking the tour!
