My wife and I did this on our first day in Italy and thoroughly enjoyed it. The starting location is easy enough to find and our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The tour takes in St Marks Square and then you get priority access into the Basilica (in itself a wonderful experience). Following this, the tour winds its way through Venice's narrow streets and squares, taking in some great architectural attractions along the way. In summer, a water bottle is essential, though there are opportunities to stop for refreshment along the way. Overall, great value for money, and a good way to familiarise yourself with the complex, and often confusing layout of the city.

A great tour with a fantastic guide (Stefania). Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared not only historical information but also threw in some local perspective. She made numerous recommendations as we strolled through Venice on the walking tour that were very helpful later on. St. Mark's is overwhelming, and the historical information and anecdotes shared by our guide made this a great tour. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour to others.

We very much enjoyed our Venice walking tour. It started and finished on time. The guide, a lovely Italian lady, did a very good job. She spoke English very well and she really knew everything about Venice.

Excellent tour of Venice and St Mark's. We had a great guide that was very informative and added nice personal touches to the tour. Her reminiscing about attending mass at St Mark's as a child was great. Gave the entire city some perspective once we heard her explain the history. Well worth the investment!!

Excellent tour and excellent guide. Despite the rainy weather our guide managed to keep us dry and still complete the tour. Her knowledge, personality and presentation were superb.

Really nice tour....started off with St. Mark's and then we toured around Venice. Guide was great...the information she gave was really helpful to us later on (tidbits about street names, numbers and locations, and recommendations on what to see). Nice introduction to Venice...even though I've been before!
