Interesting tour that cover some less well know area's of Venice, as well as St. Mark's Basilica. However, the tour inside was very short and you do not get to see it all. Very knowledgeable guide.
When you see the lines to enter St Marks, you will pat yourself on the back for signing up. The guide then walks you through the busy streets and quiet areas that unless you were very daring may not even venture down. The whole while you are being given an historical recount of the who, what, where and why of Venice. highly recommended!
we found this great, getting the history and information you dont otherwise get just wandering around
Another bucket list requirement achieved - thanks to Viator. Venice is one of the most wonderful cities on Earth - steeped in history and enshrined with beautiful buildings and art treasures. This was a split tour: two hour walk in the morning and a water taxi cruise in the late afternoon. Both guides were very knowledgeable and brought the history of Venice to life. The Basilica of St Mark was a real highlight, made all the more special through an explanation of the history and collaboration with the eastern Orthodox Church during the Byzantine era. The only way to see Venice is from the water. The gondola rides are very limited regarding how far you can travel - whereas the water taxi is able to ensure that the visitor sees all aspects of Venice. Great trip!!
This was an awesome tour that was extremely informative. The afternoon boat tour was nice because it allowed you to experience Venice as it was intended, via the canals. Great tour overall!
Touring the grand canal was an amazing experience! Your tour guides were excellent and it was most interesting to learn so much Venetian history. I would visit again given the opportunity and I highly recommend your company. Venice is beyond beautiful!
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour, both the walking guide and the boat guide were extremely pleasant and gave lots of interesting information.
It was very very veryyyy fantastic tour, especially the Boat Tour, we have spent unforgettable time there and I think I will visit Venice again and again. It is not like any other European cities, you feel that you in an international city. many people from referent nations and many restaurants and shops staying up to midnight
Fantastic tour, learnt so many amazing things about Venice. Loved it
Tour was excellent. Boat ride was very enjoyable in a water taxi.
Guide was very knowledgeable and had a sweet disposition. Nicolette I believe. It was very crowded in the piazza and we had a couple of non attentive members in our group making it a bit of a challenge for her to keep 24 people in tow. She did a nice job for having such a large crowd to deal with. The walk through the back streets was great. At one point we were standing in the court yard of Marco Polo, sweet.
Your guide local and very knowledgable we'll organised and timely. A good way to see both the major sites of Dublin and some of the more residential areas.
The lady was very friendly and very thorough by explain. I would highly recommend Viator. We done two trips excursions with Viator for the weekend and both were fantastic. The staff are great aswell
Great tour...the walking tour with the guide was entertaining and insightful. There was a nice 2 hour break for lunch which enabled us to walk around and find a nice place to eat and take in the surroundings. The small group boat tour is with 6 people and a guide on a water taxi, you get fantastic views of the grand canal and some of the back canals. We did this tour on our first day and it was great to get an understanding and layout of Venice. We were then able to explore on our own the next few days
