For a first day in Venice this tour was great--We had a fantastic visit of St Marks Cathedral almost by ourselves followed by a fascinating wander throughout much of the canals and back ways of Venice. After a brief break our boat tour capped the day with about 90 minutes in the canals and waterways led by a super guide full of information and the back stories. Both guides were very helpful in suggesting options for our following days in Venice--options we selected and which turned out great, like visits to Murano and Burano. The group in the walking tour was small and ensured that each of us got a lot of individual attention and the boat ride had 4-5 guests and a guide per boat. This tour was top of the line!!
This was a great way to experience Venice for the first time. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fluent in English. The boat tour was on a small boat and very good at showing Venice from its famous canals. The time difference between the walking and boat tours was good. It allowed us to explore more of the main part of Venice and have a nice lunch.
We had a wonderful time during our tour. Miko was friendly, polite, and informative. We loved both the walking tour portion as well as the boat tour. We felt we had a good lay of the land afterward to go off and explore more.
We had an amazing time - very professional tour - highly recommended
Both guides were very friendly and informative one for walking, one for boat. It was very hot that day, but the walking guide kept us interested, and made sure we were in the shade when possible. We had a storm for the boat ride there was actually a tornado that we saw, but it went away quickly!. The boat driver was wonderful, as he had to get us through some very rough water for a while! It was very exciting, though! Everything was handled well and efficiently.
We had an exceptional guide for the walking part of the tour -- very informative, but with a sense of humor as well. We covered a lot of ground on the tour, so you need good walking shoes. Having a large delay between the walking tour and the boat tour was not ideal... a 30-45 minute break to get lunch would have been plenty. As it was, we didn't really have time to do anything significant nor go back to our hotel which was on the opposite side of Venice. Still, overall we would recommend this tour.
Would not have seen have of the things if we had not taken this tour, loved it .
Our family enjoyed the walking tour with time to explore and then the boat tour. Well coordinated and full of information about the city.
Excellent guides, lots of information and answered questions very thoroughly. Couldn't have wished for better.
Walking tour including the boat was well worth doing saw a lot that we wouldn't have seen, tucked away places that we were not able to retrace, be prepared for a few bridge crossings if you have small children in strollers. The boat part of the tour was also good, got to see where George Clooney got married, amongst other notable points of interest. Great tour guide on both occasions.
Very good tour. Highly recommend it if you are short on time, and want to get a good feel for Venice, including the grand canal and its highlights.
We were reluctant to do this tour as we were not sure we were walking tour people, and it was also very hot. However, we were so thrilled with this tour and how fascinating it was. We learned so much about Venice, and our tour guide, LouiseElla, was a native Venetian and was so interesting and really brought this beautiful city to life! Highly recommend!
Great guide, great tour, the perfect sample of Venice. Make sure you board the boat first and stay up with the driver or pop out the back for the full view.
Venice is a wonderful city, this trip is great for learning about the history of the city whilst also familiarising oneself with the labyrinth of passages and bridges, the boat trip is also great for seeing the cities architecture because a lot of it can only be seen when on the water. I thoroughly recommend this trip.
This was a highly informative and fun exploration through the streets of Venice! Glad we were with a guide for the streets are like a maze! Fun highlight was the Libraria. We actually found our way back there later in the day to casually browse and take some treasures home with us! The boat ride in the afternoon was fantastic! We were taken in small groups of 6-8 people aboard the cool water taxis! Saw a lot of Venice that we otherwise would not have seen! Take this tour!!! You will not be sorry!
Very enjoyable and informative. Our guide was good and her love of Venice was infectious.
It was a great tour. My husband and I were on our Honeymoon and we were at venice for only 2 days. So this tour was sufficient to show a little bit of the city and give us time to discover the places we wanted to see. Great option.
