Our guide for this tour was Sabina. She had much information concerning the history of Venice and the influence of its architecture. We really enjoyed this tour. Later in the day we met a guide for a motor boat tour of the canals which was so much fun. We enjoyed this tour as well. A must do while in Venice.
excellent well organized, the walking tour was good, the meeting place was inside the Gardens so there was a place to sit and wait your turn , the operators were very tentative , inside the Basilica the tour was a bit short but the trip on the Launch was the best , the Operator's English was excellent and very enjoyable ,
A great introduction to the city. The 2-hour walking tour was the perfect length (even in August, during a heat wave!), and the boat tour was an amazing way to experience both the Grand Canal and some of the smaller, less-traveled canals. Fingers crossed you get Francesco for your walking tour guide. A native Venetian, Francesco was passionate about his city and a terrific story-teller! I highly recommend the tour.
This tour took around lots of areas that you would not find on your own. It went through little alley ways through markets and around restaurants, churches and museums. The Grand Canal tour was excellent and seeing the fire engine boats instead of the vehicles is unique. Missing the line for the Cathedral is worth this tour alone.
A wonderful introduction to the city. The guide was extremely knowledgable and helpful.
Timing perfect in relation to missing some of the crowds To be in the Marco Polo Pizza when the clock struck noon was Amazing Excellent guide prepared us to find our way around Venice Saw the most important highlights We did not have a lot of time in places but that was better than waiting in the queues and having no information.Walking through the narrow streets and guiding us of how and where to get to places, advice of how to select a restaurant was useful. good value for money. As usual Viator tour was well organised, appropriate group size and the audio equipment is great
A great introduction to Venice. Guides were superb (one for the walking portion and another one for the canal boat) although the tours were not together, they were not one after the other. We had to wait 5 hours for the Grand canal tour, but the walkign tour ended near our hotel, so we rested.
great tour gide, very knowledgeable and interesting. well worth it. later we went on the boat trip, only 4 of us on one boat standing at the back ducking when we went under the bridges. again well worth it, guide was great and pointed out all of interest. book it, you will be glad you did.
Well worth the time. The boat tour was the highlight of our time in Venice.
This tour was amazing. It started with a 2-hour tour in the morning walking around Venice (including St. Mark's). The guide for this walking part of the tour was amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable and animated which made the tour that much better. The tour included a 60 minute boat tour of Venice in the afternoon. The guide for this part of the tour was also amazing. This was one of the best things we did while in Venice. You get the true Venice experience on the water.
Barbara was the best tour guide! We enjoyed the walking tour and seeing all the best of Venice without standing in long lines. Hearing the history and stories of Venice was amazing... After a wonderful and relaxing break, we took an amazing water taxi tour with just a few others and a second great guide showed us views of Venice you can only see from a wonderful water perspective! We are excited to be joining Viator again to visit Murano and Burano after our cruise of the Greek Islands!
Very nice tour. The walking part was very well done with a fantastic guide. The canal ride was equally well done and a very different perspective . Great tour !!
Great day, fantastic to learn the history of Venice from a local guide - the big highlight was the canal cruise - highly recommend
Essentially 2 tours in one. The walking tour was excellent, we had a guide who was interesting and passionate and I learnt so much as we wondered around the back streets of Venice. In the afternoon after a four hour break we met for the grand canal tour which again was a great experience and we got to see lots of areas of Venice that we hadn't discovered ourselves with an interesting commentary. I'd highly recommend this combination as a great way of seeing all that Venice has to offer.
