Great tour, the guide was very informative and very easy to understand. Her local knowledge and knowledge of history was very thorough. We got into St Mark's within a few minutes (despite the long queue outside). The one hour boat trip later on in the day was very enjoyable and better than we had expected as there were only about 7 of us in the water taxi. We have used Viator a few years ago for a 'see Florence in a day' tour and find that it is a quick way of seeing the place if you don't have much time. We will book with Viator again.
The walking tour was great, covering as it did the Cathedral, the Plaza, the history of Venice, it's architecture, and some of the other plazas and buildings. But the boat tour was absolutely amazing, since it provided a different perspective of Venice, viewing it from the Grand Canal, instead of walking. Then, the buildings came alive, as did the City. Excellent guides, especially on the boat tour, which we did on July 22, 2013.
Great Tour!!! Although it was extremely hot, our guide always found the time to stop in the shade for further discussion and took us through parts of Venice we would NEVER have seen otherwise. Excellent tour!
Our walking tour of Venice was a highlight of our trip. Our tour guide was extremely well-versed in the history of Venice and truly enhanced our week-long experience in this beautiful city.
The boat part was the best, we got to hear some history and tour via boat.
This was a wonderful walking tour of an extraordinary city. The guide was extremely informative and made the whole experience very alive. I recommend it highly.
The guide knew Venice well and shared her knowledge with us happily. The tour was a great way to be introduced to this beautiful city.
The best tour that we went on while in Venice! The guide was well informed and we enjoyed walking all the neighborhoods and learning all the rich history.
Walking tour was good BUT the boat tour on the Grand Canal was awesome with only 5 of us in this nice wood finished water taxis and a fantastic tour guide answering our questions and sharing her insights! Only slight problem was between the walking tour and the boat tour is a big gap of about 4 hours... still, overall would rate this a good value if you only have a limited amount of time in this gorgeous city like we did.
Our guide Gina, a native Venetian was magnificent. Her pride and love for the history and culture of her home is infectious. Beautiful city which we enjoyed on the morning walking tour. We had the further pleasure of an afternoon boat tour where we surveyed the entire island by boat.
The tour was excellent and gave a short (2hrs) overview of the most important places in central Venice. Our guide, Barbara made the tour worth the while. Later in the afternoon the tour was concluded with a 1 hr ride on a taxi around Venice and the Grand Canal. A great experience.
The tour was well organized and enjoyed the view of the city. Visiting San Marco Square and the Church of San Marco were most impressive. The tour guide was very animated in describing the details; she was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour.
