We really had a wonderful tour. The guide was a real gentleman and took great care of us. We loved these small towns and their history. I recommend to everyone to take this tour especially if you are a wine lover.
Daniel, our driver and guide was excellent. The villages provided quite a variety of experiences for our group. For me the group lunch in Asolo was the highlight.
excellent driver/guide in Daniel - he made the trip what it was-v informative and knowlegable and we all dined together in place suggested with v good local food -would recommend highly
This was a small group and a great way to experience the area outside of Venice. We really enjoyed Maristica, Bassano de Grappa, and the wine tasting... We appreciated the knowledge and friendliness of the guide, Marco, as he made it fun and interesting... his local knowledge was very good.,
We could not have asked for a better tour guide.
The villages were quaint and the history was well explained along the way.
Gianni was ever so accommodating to make sure we all had a chance for photos and bio breaks.
He knew his way around every establishment we visited and was welcomed by the hosts.
We had the most amazing lunch!
The grappa tasting was out of this world and finally the proseco tasting . . . I discovered the Spritz Aperol with proseco! Mamma Mia!!! It was all worth it and the fact that it was a small group, makes it that much more fun. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!
First-Instructions from the company should be changed to make very clear that you need to take the vaporetto to the Tronchetto-Car Park stop, not Tronchetto-Mercato. And you should be aware that many vaporetti are 'express' at that time of the morning, so always ask the employee on board if the boat stops at Tronchetto-Car Park.
Daniel, our guide, was knowledgeable about the history of the area and provided information about each town that we visited. The trip took us through beautiful ancient towns and each stop was a treat. Take his recommendation for lunch. You will not be disappointedand it wasn't expensive. Grappa tasting was fun and our last stop for Prosecco tasting was at a relaxing winery with beautiful views. The transportation was in a very comfortable van. Our entire family agreed that this was our best tour of our trip.
I did this tour 2 years ago and could not wait to do it again with some friends. We had the same guide, Daniel who is just wonderful. If you go to Venice or are in the area make sure you go to the beautiful Hill Top towns of the Veneto region. Marostica, Bassano del Grappa, Asolo and of course the Prosecco region for some wine tasting. It is one of the best tours I have been on and I would do it again. Thank you Daniel for the second amazing experience.
It was great tour. Very nice surroundings, great tour guide. Nice balance of sightseeing in small, Veneto towns balanced by time spent at grappa museum and local sparkling wine wineyard. It was very relaxing tour, with lunch at local restaurant that was affordable and good. Learned much about the region, nice balance to time spend inside Venice. I would highly recommend the trip to others.
Excellent tour. Strongly recommend this tour and see the delightful countryside.
First of all the trip was even better then described. Our driver/guide Danial was superb and rely enjoyed his work. He was passionate about the areas he took us. Even though we were touring on Italian Unification day it was great to see the Medieval and Renaissance towns , the markets and the people. The restaurant we had lunch at had a great menu and a nice serene location. It was a long day but well worth it. My wife and I would do it again .

It is amazing to visit these nice little old towns on the hilltops of the Prosseco region. Food and wine are cheap as compared to Venice. I had the best pasta in my life in a small restaurant in Asolo, simple but tasty. If you are tired of the crowd in Venice, give yourself a break and come here.
We enjoyed this day trip, despite the wet weather! Marco, our guide and driver, was friendly, helpful and full of information about the areas we visited. Remember when getting to the departure point, Tronchetto vaporetto stop, to go to the second one and not the Tronchetto Mercato stop. From the Rialto vaporetto stop, give yourself about 25 minutes to get there.
This tour was excellent. We were picked up at our apartment by the tour company which saved us having to go into Venice just to turn around and come back out again. The ride between towns enjoyable and our guide was very knowledgeable. Some guides over-load on historical facts and you glaze over pretty quickly, our guide on this tour made comments on our destination, sites on the way to each location and had some general historical information salted in to keep our interest, but he did not over-do it. A thoroughly enjoyable day.
Perfect tour of places not easily reached by public transportation. Our driver, Marco, was good natured, friendly and never rushed us. He was a wealth of information on everything from history, culture, local industry and geography. He was able to answer any question.
Found our tour guide for the day easily. This is a wonderful day out if you want to see beautiful countryside at a leisurely pace. Five stops which included a Grappa tasting and visit to a winery to try the Prosecco. Great because there was no pressure to make purchases. Our guide was Marco, a charming man with excellent knowledge of the area. All in all a great day out which I'd happily recommend to friends.
Great day. Our tour guide was excellent. We did not know the other 6 people on board but they were great company and the grappa was great.
A wonderful tour! We were fortunate to have the same guide, Alessandro, that we had for the Dolomite tour. We visited 4 towns that were different, beautiful and very interesting. We had a grappa tasting which was unexpectedly great. Our last stop at the Ca'Salina vineyard was wonderful. We met the owner and had a very pleasant visit with him. This may have been the very best tour of the 4 that we took in Venice.
Care - there are two Tronchetto canal stops. Make sure you take the second one. This needs to be made clearer on the booking voucher. We had a wonderful time, once we found our guide.
Personal driver and guide just perfect .
The personal guide was so informative and knowledgeable .
The lunch at the hill top town in a family run trattoria was amazing .
Tour is worth getting out of busy Venice for the day to see charming towns of Verona .
This was the best tour we had on our trip. So much to see with a wonderful tour guide. Loved the food and wine at lunch time. I highly recommend this tour to get a break from Venice.
A wonderful break from beautiful Venice with a full day in the nearby hills. The guide was knowledgable, friendly, spoke good English and made the day an enjoyable one. Visited a number of towns and attractions which were both relaxing and investing. We thought the tour was really worthwhile and different.
Loved this trip. Visiting the Veneto is an addition to learning about Venice. The trip will take you to small towns and you are able to see a part of the Veneto you otherwise will not see.
Giovanni was a great tour guide -- knowledgeable and interesting. He provided insight into both the history and culture of everywhere we visited. I really enjoyed all the places we visited as well. The Veneto region is beautiful. I would definitely recommend this tour.
On this tour of the Veneto Hill Towns, our expectations were far exceeded. Giovanni picked us up right on time and we shared the minivan with one other couple. Our first stop was one of the walled cities, Marostica. Giovanni provided us with facts and information about each place we visited as well as the culture and food of the area. We then visited Bassano dal Grappa where we did a grappa tasting. This was my favorite city. I would love to have stayed longer. We had lunch in Ascolo at a local Osteria. I had a pumpkin pasta (homemade) which was excellent. Our next stop was Villa Barbaro where we were able to tour the Palladian villa and the grounds. Our final stop was Prosecco tasting at Valdobbiadene, the heart of the Prosecco region. It was wonderful especially because the owners of the winery knew Giovanni. We got excellent service and treatment. I would encourage anyone who wants to know more about the Veneto to take this tour and I Hope you get Giovanni as your guide. I strongly recommend this trip.
