Great to see a more Venetian side of this tourist hot spot and Claire our guide was friendly, welcoming and full of information. Good value and great fun. I would highly recommend.
Simona, You rock girl, we started our retirement celebration in Venice and thanks to you and this tour it will certainly be extra special
Our tour guide was the perfect choice for our evening. We arrived tired and hungry and hot in Venice and met the tour. She was fresh and lively - willing to laugh about her adopted city. Shared loving stories about the people who really live in Venice. The cicchetti were fun - different - foods we would not have ordered and the 500 year old bars were priceless. We had a lot of alcohol - interesting flavors- but she was quick to give water since it was very hot. And she taught us how to interact with locals- language - riding the traggetti. A perfect evening to liven us up after lots of travel!
Fantastic tour guide and value for money. Met some really lovely people.
Our Venice Food Tour: Cicchetti and Wine was fabulous. Simone was our tour guide and we had the best time and met several couples, one of which was going on the same cruise as us. Simone was friendly, professional and lots of fun. We were a little late to the meeting spot and she was so gracious about the wait. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.
excellent food and wine tasting around market area -tour guide Elizabettha was excellent
Our guide was knowledgable and friendly, with great sense of humour. The evening was well organised and we met some lovely people. Wine and food was top notch, and this was the highlight of our visit to Venice.
if this is your first time in venezia, highly recommend taking this tour at the beginning of your stay. was surprised how much we learned about the history brief but informative, navigating through the streets and across the canal, the fish and produce market, and the food and wine. our guide elisabeth? was informative, welcoming and a lot of fun. tours are limited to 12 , so it was easy to meet everyone in the group. after the tour, we revisited every stop she showed us... more than once : highly recommend.
Our guide Claire was absolutely wonderful. She was quirky, intelligent, sharp, and just fun to be with. We thought the appetizers crostinis, salads, and fried tapas were nicely balanced, but the wines just didn't add up. There were two white wines that were plain bitter. The prosecco was acceptable, as was our sparkling red wine and sweet dessert wine, but the cabernet was very alcohol based and had a twinge of aftertaste. I loved the choice of cantinas and the history behind Venetian culture, and for the price, we felt we got what we paid for, and then some. Claire is a treasure and made our experience fun our only regret was that we didn't do this tour sooner at the start of the trip, as we would have patronized those places earliere.
This tour was fabulous and the tour guides English was excellent. There were 12 people on the tour from all over the world. The wines and tapas type food was great and as the evening went on everyone gelled really well and we all thoroughly enjoyed visiting the little traditional bars whilst having an informative tour of the surrounding area at the same time.
Fantastic! Would have felt robbed not to have experienced the little places Clarie our tour guide took us all to. Lovely bunch of people shame the evening ended. Plenty of food and alcohol and interesting facts about the area and places visited.
When I return to Venice I hope to visit them all again! What a wonderful evening....
Excellent. The tour guide was very informative. We learnt a bit about the city and also about the food and wine. Highly recommended
We met Francesca in the morning of this trip in a quiet part of Venice, she was immediately warm and friendly but the group was a bit quiet. This tour starts soft and easy and ends in the busy streets with great quaint bars and by the end we were all firm friends-mainly due to the array of drinks! Having visited Venice 5 times, this was a great trip to see new areas and discover what the Venetians like to eat and drink. It included a Gondola trip across the Grand Canal to the Market area. The whole tour was great fun and a great time had by all.
Best tour of the entire trip. The guide was wonderful, very friendly, and the food and wine were great.
A perfect start on our stay in Venice, with this excellent tour we learned where and what to eat, see and do - in this amazing city.
We very much enjoyed our evening with Elizabetta a proud local Venetian. She was an excellent guide, exposed us to the real Venice and her tips one street off and look up stayed with us for the remainder of the holiday. For our short stay in Venice, we were very glad we chose this over a gondola ride!
This is the best tour I have taken. Our guide, Elizabeth, was very knowledgeable being a born and bred Venetian. The tour of the back streets prior to our cicchetti and wine tastings was very informative and the four wine bars we visited were outstanding. The cicchettis and the wine were different at each very historic wine bar. A word of warning, do not have a late lunch and don't plan dinner! We could not finish our cicchettis at the last bar. This tour is very good value.
One of the best tours we have done on our7 week trip around Europe! Wonderful guide, knowledgable and friendly. Highly recommended! The food and drinks were amazing and we even went back to the venues we stopped at.
A great tour to get to know the streets of Venice you may not otherwise go down. The food and wine was delicious and having a tour guide who was born and raised in Venice was great.
Tour was very comprehensive and full of information. The guide, Pete, was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining and responsive to the needs of the tour group. It was a great way to see a wide range and variety of things in one day!
A really interesting tour of the little wine bars of Venice. Guide was outstanding in her knowledge and the way she lead the tour. Sorry I have forgotten her name
One of the favorite things we did in Venice! Our guide was fun and knowledgeable. We tasted delicious foods and drank amazing wines! It was a perfect first tour of the area to get our bearings of the city.
Very good tour to 4 very small wine bars that you not be able to find on your own. Very good tour!
Excellent! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. While the other tours were quickly passing through, we were being schooled in the finer points of what we were seeing. No waiting in long lines. Very nice.
