It was awesome - nothing says Venice like experiencing a gondola ride in the Grand Canal!!
We were absolutely mesmerized by this experience...the gorgeous scenery and the serenade made us fall in love with Venice, Italy!
We chose the early evening ride which was great as Venice was very hot during the day. Very relaxing with some lovely serenading. (singer was on another boat) which was not a problem for us. very nice having 6 in a boat. its a must if in Venice.
Just like you always imagined Venice on the canals would be! Great tenor soloist to serenade us.
On the evening we were booked to attend there was a huge thunderstorm and downpour so organizers (wisely) cancelled and gave the option to return the following evening, or receive a refund from the tour company.
we loved our experience. with the number of godolas at various locations, i dont think you need to book ahead. still had to wait in line 45 mins prior to departure
Once we found the meeting place, which took longer than expected to get to, it was fantastic, 8 gondolas riding together with a serenade, we glided through canals with people on bridges stopping to watch us. great night but thought the price was a little expensive.
We were very lucky to be seated in a gondola with the accordion player and serenader. The trip was brilliant, travelling along part of the Grand canal and then the narrow canals. The only criticism, which didnt affect us, was that if you were in another gondola, you may not have heard the serenader that much as the floatilla did not stay compact enough. Great value for money but I wouldn't anticipate on having the best acoustics for the serenade.
In Venice you get what you pay for! Book your serenade with Viator you get much more. We saved money and had a great tour not confined to the Grand Canal. As usual excellent.
The serenade gondola ride was fantastic. Really good singing and a lovely gentle ride a little way along the Grand Canal and down a small canal and back. Over too quickly though.
How can you go to Venice without riding in a Gondola!
A nice experience, no 'guides' just jaunty, enthusiastic Gondoliers and the sights of Venice!
Really well worth doing. Much longer than we had anticipated. Only six to a boat and you travel in convoy. we shared our gondola with a charming family from the States. We all got on well. ~We were lucky with good weather and good musicians!
Great tour! Had the luck to be sat at the gondola with the musicians!!! Great fun, don't think a gondola without music would be the same.
Absolutely amazing......!!!! It was such an amazing experience.....totally loved this.....and I went alone!!!! I was in a Gondola with an Italian family.......the man was with his mother and wife......it was such an amazing evening....they all cried........thank you for the greatest experience!!! Totally awesome!!!!!!
The place was easy to find, close to the Vaporetto stop. We visited during the sumer, so the 6:00 PMish tour was great, because it was not dark yet, and it wasnt so hot. We took great pictures while we enjoyed the music played in one of the gondolas. I highly recommend this!
A gondola ride is a must-do in Venice. This was great fun. It was a beautiful evening and the sun was going down, and we so enjoyed the experience. The singer was very good, along with the guy playing accordion. So glad we booked.
This was a great experience. The Serenade made the trip even better! Would highly recommend this tour.
So well organised that we felt that we were in safe hands, excellent value for money!! The singing was entertaining as was the music! Best done in the evening,, the only thing was we expected no more than 4 passengers but we had six, but not a problem!! Thank you Aviator.
