A great way to see the city in a short time. Our guide was very thorough and had lots of information to share about the Venice. We took a 4:30 tour but we would have preferred it earlier in the day had there been openings. It was nice to have a small group 9 as it made for good visibility. We asked a few questions and would have asked more had the guide not had to run off to gather her next tour group. Ask your questions on the boat as there is no time once you dock!
Easy to find meeting point. After taking the romantic gondola the day before, wish we had just done the boat tour as so informative and saw so much. Our guide Christine was brilliant, her knowledge of everything including the dates buildings constructed and to what architectural style was great to hear. Well worth the money and would say anyone visiting Venice must do the boat tour.
Tour guide was very enthusiastic about showing all the famous places.
Skip the gondola and do this!
Great tour and tour guide.Fun and informative!

Very good tour. The girl was very well informed and had a good command of English. Very enjoyable
Amazing experience, very good for photos, and great information from the guide
A great way to cram loads of sights into a short space of time and experience venice on the canals. Nice tour guide and a fantastic tour. Very happy we booked it.
Best tour in Venice. You should do this first thing it gives you a good perspective of where you would want to go in Venice highly recommend
Excellent tour. Knowledgeable narration Great value. I recommend it.
Great way to see Venice in an hour! Our guide was very entertaining with his many anecdotes and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour!
Brilliant, great service from our guide Christine and very informative, only 2 others on the boat so plenty of room and great company, would recommend this trip.
Our tour was fantastic! Our tour guide was a native of Venice and was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. We would recommend it to anyone touring the city.
This one hour tour was great as it took us along the canals where we wouldn't have gone on our own to see the real Venice away from the tourists. It started by going out near the islands where the gondolas couldn't go so a real mix of sights. Our guide was very good, giving us background information all the time.
Wonderful tour! Did this tour back in 2007 and this month and it was excellent both times. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Small group of 8, cruising the Grand Canal and smaller back canals, learning about the history and architecture styles, including locations of George Clooney's wedding etc! Fun and relaxing and better bang for you buck than a gondola ride!
Everything about the tour was as advertised. Meeting place was easy to locate, rep showed on time, group was escorted to the boats and the tour began. As a first time visitor to Venice, the Grand Canal Tour was the perfect introduction to such a beautiful city! I recommend this tour to everyone, whether first timers or frequent visitors.
A very easy way to see venice. Do it on your first day and you'll get to see places that you can easily revisit again on land.
My wife and I both enjoyed this tour and as we had it on our first day in Venice we were able to use the info we got to check out the places the next day. The tour guide commentator spoke very good English so no communiction problems.
We were on a Tauck Tour which was wonderful, but which did not include a Grand Canal tour. Realizing this, we accessed "Grand Canal Tours", found Viator's, booked it on line a week before we were due to arrive in Venice, with no problem. We took the tour at 5:30 pm on the afternoon of our first day in Venice and found it to be a peerless orientation to that magical city. Our tour guide, Christina was welcoming, knowledgeable and beautiful. What a grand introduction to a grand city!
