We ordered a water taxi transfer and whilst we wee transferred it was by car which was a great disappointment.

The ride was beautiful, but was not dropped off at hotel as promised, even though hotel had a dock. Told that they weren't doing it. Had to lug luggage about half a mile over cobblestones and a bridge, wife was not pleased. Hotel also told us we were overcharged about 50.00. What could have been a very nice experience went down the toilet. It's also about a 300 yard walk from the airport desk to dock, glad it wasn't raining.

The transfer turned out to be fine, but because our plane was delayed, we were due to arrive after booth 78 was manned. The telephone number to ring was useless, so on arrival at Marco Polo, we went to booth 78 which, although seemingly open, was unmanned. I went to the water taxi desk, where a lady seemingly expected us and sorted our transfer. A sign on the desk at booth 78 directing us to the water taxi desk would have been helpful. We were the only couple in the water taxi, so the good value of the transfer was made even more so.

The walking to the pier where the boats are is too long, keep in mind we have been travelling for 15 hours. There is no help to get there. Very poor logistics.

I was grateful to find someone doing an Airport Venice transfer and I was by and large pleased. There were 6 people in the launch and one very nice man helped us with the luggage when the man driving the boat didn't. I had expected him to take the luggage once we'd rolled them down to the boat but he only took a couple of our pieces. We had three bags and two carry ons which we carried ourselves. The ride was very fast, a little too fast as we broke over some rough waves. I don't recommend this for anyone with a back problem.

You can do much better. First off, we had to wait almost 2 hours for them to get to us. I heard a lot of excuses that day. I understood that they would take us to our hotel since it was on a major canal. NO! They let us off at Saint Mark's Square and we had to walk. We could have gotten the public bus much cheaper and had the same service, okay, we could have had quicker service.
Take the public transport if your hotel is near a major tourist site, you can check online. Or if you have the money you can take a private taxi. Both are very simple to do, practically idiot proof. In fact both are right next to the one I booked through Viator.
Booth was easy to find in arrival hall, but it was staffed by someone who did not really speak English. He referred us to someone across the hall who sent us back, but by then the first man had disappeared and never returned. The guarantee said that we might have to wait up to 30 minutes as it was a shared boat, but it took over 45. Someone finally showed up, and we were told to stand to the side while the folks who had paid for a tour were given information on Venice. When the tour guide was done we all got on the boat. If they had just put a sign on the booth that they were loading a boat and would return soon, it would have helped a lot. The boat and driver were clean and friendly and helped us to find our hotel in Venice.

No one was waiting at the booking office where they should have been when we arrived, and we then had to wait an hour and a half before it departed for Venice.

Arrived off our flight with our luggage and were told by the local agent to wait for another couple that would be sharing our taxi in about 20 minutes. Two hours later after loosing our patience and having to become nasty did the agent find a taxi for us. Terrible experience!
