Mario was knowledgeable and helpful and full of interesting stories about Venice. It was a treat to see Venice from his perspective. Highly recommended.
Very knowledgable guide, Mario is a professional photographer who had the patience to explain fundamental camera operations to great composition advice. This all took place off the beaten track in ares of Venice that tourists don't get to . Our photos are much improved and his tips are easy to remember and use.
Amazing photo experience of Venice. A must if photography is your interest and passion!! Will do it again!!
Mario was excellent! He first assess the photography level of my fiancee. Then took us through some of the out of the way places in Venice, where few tourists go. The emphasis was on taking great pictures. When a photo was done, he would then give helpful hints on the composition of the photo and how to improve them. Well worth the money.
GREAT PRIVATE WALKING TOUR!!! Behind the scenes and away from the crowds...our guide has the local knowledge and history of Venice and will take you on a tour of your life...you will never forget it!!! We spent the best 3 and 1/2 hours in Venice on this do not miss tour...An ABSOLUTE MUST....Thank you!!!!
The best experience of my trip to Venice. Fun and useful ('useful' isn't something that you'd expect out of a holiday, is it?). Walking around Castello with Mario gives you first practical information about your camera (do you really know your camera?), tips about composition and photography in general plus interesting knowledge about the city and its inhabitants.
Definitely worth it!
Marco was a great and experienced photographer and tour guide. Loved seeing his Arsanale neighborhood and learning what it was like to be a true Venetian
Mario was knowledgeable and patient with a novice photographer. He gave helpful suggestions for making better photos, but he introduced us to a side of Venice most don't see, along with some interesting people..a model shipbuilder, and an elderly man who makes Pinnocchio dolls. The neighborhood we visited was uncrowded and historic. A wonderful day.
It was very interesting although it was supposed to be a photo workshop and my camera was not a professional one.
Mario was our guide and he was simply BRILLIANT - a professional photographer. We were the only ones on the tour. It was quite a rainy morning so we spent a good hour sitting under the palazzo ducal verandah learning about the camera and going through some technical elemetnd...I thought at time was a bit of over kill but definitely paid off. We then walked around Venice in areas where the toursists seemed not to know about. Mario was great in helping to review photos, assist with composition and settings to ensure we captured the best shots possible. Wuld definitely recommend this tour.
This was a fantastic way to see Venice. Our photographer/guide was excellent. Very personable and full of helpful information about photography and Venice.
I'm really glad to join this tour, because the photographer who tautght us how to take pictures was very charming man. The walking with him was the most fantastic time during our trip in Venice. In addition, the restaurant he recommended was not in any guide book but better than the other famous restaurant I reserved. I can’t thank him, Mario, too much!
I was blown away by this tour. Our guide Mario was knowledgeable on all of the cameras in our group and very helpful in getting the most out of my new equipment. On an exceptional vacation this tour is the one we talk with friends about the most. Having a working, local photographer of this caliber really made it worthwhile. So much of what I have read and studied online, came alive in the alleys and squares of Venice. Thanks, Senor Mario.
