Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Venice Shared Arrival Transfer: Marittima Cruise Port to Central Venice. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
Excellent service, representative was there right outside disembarking area. Only had to wait a short time for another couple. Very courteous and helpful with luggage.
A prompt and efficient service with friendly staff. Would recommend this service from Venice to anyone returning to the airport.
My wife and I were traveling with an older couple that had a lot of luggage. The Viator Representative met us and called a water Taxis that arrived in about 10 minutes, They handled all the luggage and took us right to our hotel. This was better then anything the cruise line could have provided.
I don't know of anywhere else in the world where you can take a water taxi right to your hotel...that is, if you are staying on a canal. A great welcome to a fascinating city!
Great Service, on time and very clean and private. Would do it again !!, Very friendly service.
Beat the queues for the water taxis. Easy transfer to St Mark's Square.
It was a smooth experience and we were dropped off just a few steps from our B and B next to a canal. Being a semi-private (one other couple on the water taxi) transport, it was rather expensive, but the taxi driver loaded and unloaded our bags for us, so that was very helpful.
We had to search for our transport. No one was waiting at the cruise terminal as expected. Once we had found the rep she was extremely helpful and journey was fine althougn we were dropped off at different pier and had to walk further with cases
The staff at the port was helpful in contacting our taxi driver, but we had to wait almost an hour standing at the the freezing cold and windy dock with all our luggage. Once we got our boat the service was fast and efficient, but the wait about killed us, nowhere to sit down, nor any toilet access.
Finding and boarding the water taxi took awhile but we accepted that as we had not arranged a specific time. The taxi took us to a point on the Grand Canal and left us to find our own way. We are both in our mid-sixties and relatively fit, active people so navigating and carting two 23 kg suit cases and 2 carry-on bags over several bridges with many steps for 15 minutes was ok but we later discovered that taxis can and do travel through smaller canals right to the door of out hotel. We would recommend using a more direct service.
I expected to be met as disembarked the ship. There was no one with our name showing. Walked a long way to office and then had to spend a long time over half an hour negotiating the transfer. Then went by taxi to hotel which was fine. Overall not as efficeint as promissed.
We arrived 1 hour earlier and felt we would have to wait, however the woman kept saying soon and that
we were waiting for our shared people. They were 45 minutes late and we were furious!! All our friends
just got the water taxi or taxi,s and were 2 hours ahead of us. This was unacceptable and I will not recommend you guys. Easier to just get there and get your own service.
