This walking tour is well worth the expense. The knowledge of our guide provided very interesting information about Venice. The Gondola Ride was better than expected and provided a unique view of Venice and the canals without the exorbitant cost for an individual gondola.
Our guide was perfect for the job, his English was perfect and his knowledge of history and architecture was exceptional. I only wish the the walking tour was longer and the gondola ride was optional. Unfortunately the gondolier talked on his cell phone the entire ride, so not much of a ride or memory for the riders.
I would recommend and have recommended this tour to others.
This tour was fantastic. Our tour guide was a true local born and raised in Venice and now lives there with her family. It gave us a real sense of the culture. The gondold ride was great! We loved it and would recommend this your to anyone visiting Venice.
This Tour was so acclimating and covered just about everything in the area you needed to see and the Gondola ride capped everything off perfectly! The whole process from booking and arriving and initiating was flawless!
Great and informative tour. Our guide was terrific and even if you had to share the gondola ride with strangers- it was a worthwhile experience without any haggling over prices!
We had a really great tour guide who gave us heaps of information and we got to see some amazing sites. But the piece de resistance was the Gondola Ride. Just amazing sitting back and enjoying a beautiful journey through the canals of Venice. We loved this place heaps.
An excellent tour and good value for money. Very knowledgeable, friendly guide and the fact that everyone is given an ear piece meant we could hear every word he said. The length of the tour and content are just right and the history of Venice explained well. The Gondola ride was a nice finishing touch and again the Gondola was knowledgeable pointing out various landmarks, who had lived where and where George Clooney had stayed for his recent marriage. I'd definitely reccomend the tour.
Great tour! The walking tour was very interesting. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. The gondola tour was very nice. Worth taking this tour.
Great tour. Great way to see Venice in 2 hours. Tour guide was excellent. Local of Venice. Enjoyed Gondola ride.
This was a great way to find out about Venice, and to discover the hidden sights and history of the canals. It was especially interesting to learn about how Venice was built. Our tour guide was wonderful. The gondola ride was enjoyable, and we had a great time listening to our gondolier. Highly recommend
Loved this tour as it was not the typical "museum and gallery" tour but a tour of a Venice neighbourhood. Matteo was a very knowledgable guide with interesting facts about both Venice and the neighbourhood we walked through. The pace of the tour was good and we enjoyed it thoroughly!
This was my favourite trip. Our walking guide was great, had a good sense of humour and very informative! (guy with beard) We had four other strangers packed into our gondola so it wasn't quite a romantic ride, but still an enjoyable experience. This trip is good value for money and a great way to learn about Venice.
This was my second time visiting Venice. I really enjoyed learning new things about this beautiful city.
Our tour guide Francesa was outstanding in all respects. She was pleasant, open, forceful not fitful, and incredibly knowledgeable. She was passionate about her subject and compassionate with the seniors she had in tow. She made four hours fly by. And the occasional grunts and pants of the wobbly-legged quartet could neither weaken her resolve nor curb her enthusiasm. I don't know how many stars constitute the top rating. But arbitrarily picking a number offers too little light for this analysis. This one was in a galaxy of its own.
Excellent way to see venice, guide was a local who knew everything we asked, a good value way to see venice and get your bearings. Would highly recommend.
It was a very beautiful tour with a helpful guide who had all the information about venice which we required. The gondola ride was a lovely experience and I would definitely recommend this tour, walking around the nooks and corners of picturesque venice was a visual treat and such a unique experience,my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this trip.
I really loved this tour! A private gondola ride can run you from 80-100 Euro for half an hour ($100-$130 USD). To pay only $60 for a walking tour AND a 35 minute gondola ride felt like a steal! Our guide was Marco and he was awesome. He was funny and knowledgeable which made us laugh and have a great time. We got to see parts of Venice we never would have found if it weren't for him and the set up of the tour. I definitely recommend it to anyone, especially if they want to experience a gondola.
Great tour!! We got a nice 45 minute walking tour of the back streets and a nice 30 minute Gondola ride. The Gondola is very expensive, so this is worth the money. The guide spoke English very well and was very informative and friendly
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour, guide gave us an insight of how life in Venice is today and how it was in the past, we also discovered parts of Venice that we hadn't seen. Gondola ride was excellent and a relaxing way to finish the tour. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend tour.
A really interesting tour that kept us away from the main touristic area, allowing us to learn about and see some more of the less well known sites + a couple of hidden treasures. With the Gondola ride included, this tour is good value for money. A tip is to do this as early in your visit as possible to give you a good feel of where to go and what to see.
The walking tour was amazing, the lovely lady that offer it....sadly forgotten her name( matching yellow bag and shoes :0)) had a truly good sense of humour and nice way to go through all the history and stories hidden behind the walls and buildings of Venice. Highly recommended....and that comes from a person that has travelled and been to quite few tours of this kind.
