Great tour of palace and gardens in just the right amount of time. Spent a little longer afterwards wandering through the gardens. Unfortunately Paris had a strike on the Tuesday we had booked to come and see the fountains working. We received the email too late and had travelled out to Versaille but Guidatours were very accomodating and were able to book us in for the following day. They also offered us both free Louvre tickets to compensate.
We really enjoyed our tour today with Amadine. She was very knowledgeable and we found out some very interesting facts about the palace and gardens. She walked at an excellent pace, and we were able to hear her well with our headsets in the palace. She had a great sense of humor about the death of Louis XIV with what the smell would have been like, and how their lives were so public. The palace is packed with many visitors, but going in the morning you miss some of the lines.
We found out a great deal about the monarchy and the opulence of Versailles. I recommend the tour highly. I also think the 1/2 day was perfect. If you wanted more you could go back to the gardens and Marie Antoinette's palace, or you could choose to call it a day. Nice option.
This tour was not only very affordable, it was ABSOLUTELY necessary when trying to get into the Palace of Versailles. By the time we met our tour guide and were about to enter the group tours entrance, the line for individual entrance was out into the main street thousands of feet long.
Not only that, our tour guide added context and meaning to the gardens and palace that we never would have got on our own. Without a tour guide, this is just a very pretty building. This is the very best half day tour available in Versailles!
The tour was great and the guide was excellent! Highly recommend visiting Versailles!
Skip the line is very helpful! Our guide Natalie was informative and made sure that the group stuck together and had a good view of the artifacts.
This is one of the highlight tour in Paris you can't miss!. The tour office/ meeting place is very conveniently located in front of the RER C train station in Versailles. We skipped the ticket lines and security checks was fast track. Although i have read about French History, having a knowledgeable and very pretty guide is a plus. thank you very much to our guide Amandine! The place is amazing, but the garden is spectacular!
Great tour, our guide was wonderful and extremely informative, you could ask her a question about the smallest detail and she had an answer. Definitely worth the extra money, there was a 3 hour line that we completely bypassed by doing this tour! Make sure when you're done to go down through the gardens to the canal, there are two cute restaurants there and you can rent boats, enjoy the park, rent a golf cart and see all the grounds - definitely more to do at Versailles than see the house and close gardens.
We were able to skip both the ticket line and the extremely long security line. The guide was great. This was an excellent value.
Despite the rain the line for entry into Versailles was unbelievable. Our small tour group went straight into the garden / palace. It was extremely crowded inside but our tour guide was extremely apt at working the crowd and making room for our group. She was very knowledgeable about the history and customs and we learnt a great deal. If you want to visit Verseille I highly recommend this tour.
Once the tour is finished you can spend all day in the gardens, which would be lovely on a sunny day.
Excellent tour guide and a great introduction to Versailles. Nice balance of garden and tour of the palace itself. Tour guide was very friendly and good at explaining significance of small details that would otherwise go unnoticed. Highly recommend. You won't regret it.
Great tour and Aurora was wonderful . Being able to skil the line made things so much easier.
The tour was great. Fully enjoyed. The guide was excellent and knowledged. Polite. The palace is very well maintained. Highly recommended.
The tour was wonderful highly recommend! PLEASE NOTE that if you get tickets in advance you need to meet your tour guide right when you get off the metro, NOT AT THE PALACE! We walked up to the palace and after asking several people realized we were supposed to meet our guide by the metro. Our tour guide was awesome gave us lots of great information! We loved her! And it is SO WORTH IT to skip the line. We went on a Sunday and the line had to be 3 to 4 hours long!
We took a brief tour of the gardens with our tour guide then the palace. after we toured the palace we had the rest of the day to tour the gardens. Recommend renting one of their golf carts or using the bus. There is a lot of walking in the gardens! Again HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour, it was well worth it!
I booked this tour in the US for my granddaughters who were in Paris. The staff were incredibly accommodating and the guide was outstanding. My kids report a fabulous day with a highly informed
and charming guide and since no one else scheduled for the time, they had a private tour. Thanks so much
We had a wonderful time. Had we not booked this tour, we would have stood in line for at least 2 hours. Natalie was an amazing guide.... very knowledgeable on the building, the history, the gardens, and even mythology. We highly recommend this tour.

Great choice of booking the Skip The Line tour with Viator. There must have been 1000 people in line, and our small tour group of 10 breezed right through. English-speaking tour guide Ms. Amandine was great! Highly recommended.
What a great tour with a terrific guide. The thing that made this tour great was that the guide gave us earphones and a receptor each so that we could hear her every word as she guided us through the palace. The palace had many visitors and we would not have heard our guide without this.
The tour was fantastic! Our guide was extremely knowledgable regarding all the history, very animated, and very friendly! She made it come alive. She spent just the right amount of time in the gardens and in each room of the chateu.
I highly recommend this tour!
The tour guide office is right of the metro and they have people directing you there so is super easy to find. Our tour guide was Isabelle and she was funny, knowledgeable and took pictures of everyone when asked. A skip the line at Versailles is a must. There were thousands of people there.
