Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Versailles Gardens Ticket: Summer Fountains Night Show and Fireworks with Optional Royal Serenade Dance Show. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
A most wonderful evening! If you have the time at the right time of year please attend this. It was wonderful seeing the palace and gardens illuminated at night with the fountains on. The Royal Serenade is great but, even better is the fact that you get to see the hall of mirrors with far fewer people than while visiting during the day. You won't be disappointed with this show
You should definitely get the optional Royal Serenade. The entertainment they provide is great and afterwards you will get a chance to take pictures of the palace with little to no crowd around. The summer fountains night show and the fireworks were a great way to end a day at Versailles. Highly recommended!
Def recommned going to this it's an amazing evening! Not a tour tho this is just advance tickets, think we saved a bit of time not having to queue in the normal lines.
Don't miss this opportunity to see the Versailles gardens as they were meant to be seen. We spent 3 hours wandering around splendid lit up magical fountains that played jets of water to baroque music, little grottos with mist dry ice and glorious fireworks at the end. It was a wonderful end to our two day trip to Versailles with teenage kids, they loved the show.
The gardens are breathtaking, every time I turned around there was something else to see, the fireworks were fantastic , the sculptures were classical and beautiful the new art of Anish Kapoor fitted in seamlessly. It is something to see and I would go again. I had my advanced ticket and could go straight through to the gardens without queuing.
It was an amazing evening. Even with the large crowd, the grounds were easy to get around. The only big bottleneck is getting into and out of the gardens. The fountain shows and fireworks were beautiful and the weather was perfect.
We very much enjoyed our experience at Versailles - it was a long day as we had been there since early morning to do the castle tour.
This is one of those experiences that you cannot really describe to anyone! Pictures dont do it justice...the atmoshpere, the music, the fountains and the lights, as well as the fireworks at the end was something that I will treasure for the rest of my life!
Was great show and will attend show next year again. Ticket service was great, fast and easy access to show.
The show and the site are wonderful, the only observation is that they should get ready to cater to all the visitors by providing more toilets and services
Versailles, the fireworks, and fire show were spectacular. Nice touch to add a full moon rising above the palace as it got dark . The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because there was no fountain show I believe that ended in July and we didn't know that, and the tickets we bought online had to be exchanged at a separate location, meaning we waited in 2 lines instead of one
A great experience, only wish transportation from the event to Paris had been available.
Individually, the fireworks and Royal Serenade were amazing. The only downside is the long wait between the two.
The Royal Serenade was great, but the fireworks were just not worth it. There was not enough facilities toilets etc. to handle that number of people. Just horrible! No places to sit, and so much dust from the walking areas. The grounds looked so unkept. I was sorry that we took family members there and wasted their time in Europe even bothering with Versailles.
Worth it - consider staying in a hotel in Versailles to avoid the mad rush to the train.
The Palace and gardens were absolutely outstanding
I am not happy with my booking with Viator unfortunately. Nothing on our ticket stated that we could not enter any areas until the evening after 18:30 So we had to pay an entrance fee to the gardens or sit outside until 18:30!! Yes we paid extra for the night show but wrongly assumed that because we brought a Versailles Garden Tickets we could enter the gardens in the day time!
It took us nearly 4 hours to go around the gardens so if we hadn't of paid the extra entrance fee we would defiantly not seen all the gardens, inside the palace and the fountain night show!
Be aware that the ticket you receive on line IS NOT A TICKET we had to in fact queue for ages at the ticket office, our fault that we did not see it in the small print! We nearly missed the show!
The staff were not knowledgeable about anything, lots of people were asking the staff questions and the answer was 'I think' or 'maybe' no one had a clue what was going on.
There were 4 toilet blocks in total, in the ladies there were 2 cubicles in each, the men 1 cubical and urinal. So just 8 toilets for women and 4 toilets for the men and urinals for approx 80,000 people!!!!!!!!!
By 2pm there was no toilet paper in the ladies, no soap, in the men's there was water/urine flooding the floor and queues were 25 - 30 people queuing every block of toilets all day.
Loved the gardens but in the summer it doesn't get dark until around 10:15 so the lights in the fountains are hard to see until then and the gardens close at 10:50, not much time. The fireworks were GREAT but make sure if you are taking the metro back to Paris you leave a little early to beat the crowd. We did the afternoon tour of the gardens as well and if we had a do- over we would have only done the afternoon gardens.
way too many people, could not see the dance performances or the fountain performances because it was so crowded, the performances moved from room to room so it was like a stampede each time we moved
The performance was poor. We didn't really enjoy it. And nobody seemed to know what to do with my vouchers. The event outdoors was very confusing. Nobody seemed to know where to go. We were supposed to get a map and some direction but didn't until after about. Not a good experience.
