Really the best way to see the grounds of Versailles and the exterior of all the buildings, as well as learn the history of Versailles. Outstanding, fun tour!
Such a fun time! Technology and history all wrapped up in one experience. Nothing beats getting to see all these beautiful sites without the strain and tiredness of trekking all those kilometers. It was also fun to watch those on bikes look onto us with envy. LOL. Our tour guide was very informative, funny and entertaining. Highly Recommend it!
We had a good time on the Versailles Tour.
Although we arrived late for our pre-booked appointment, the tour company were proactive in contacting us and rearranged a later time for us. We truly appreciated their flexibility and great customer service.
The location of the tour company is conveniently situated close to one of the palace gates. At the start of the tour, we had good instructions on how to use the segway, and the guide who was very friendly and helpful kept a keen eye on our safety for the duration of the tour. We learnt a great deal about the Palace and its related history. Thank you Mattias! I would certainly recommend company for those who'd like such an experience. It was great fun!
This was clearly one of the very top experiences we had in our Paris vacation. We had an excellent and friendly guide. There is no better way to see the gardens of Versailles given how large they are, which makes this tour especially good for a warm to hot day. You could see the looks of envy on people's faces as we flew past. Plus, it's just plain fun to ride a Segway.
Very knowledgeable guide. It was wonderful to see the back gardens and begin to understand the way the gardens are laid out and the history of the Versailles. Would recommend everyone do this before or after they tour the main grounds and palace. Well done!
What a great tour. We had never been on a Segway before and being an older couple were a little apprehensive. Our guide put us at ease and off we went. Our guide was excellent. Highly recommend for anyone to try. It was a blast.
Absolutely fantastic. A small group with a great guide, the only way to see the outer gardens of Versailles. The Segway's are a breeze, a quick learn the ropes and your on your way. Highly recommended, good value for money.
Amazing tour, what better way to tour around the garden? Our tour guide was amazing and the tour was far more detailed and interesting than the audio guide in the palace! We went during December which was freezing but worth it!
Fantastic way to see the Versailles park and some of the town. Segways move you across more ground than anyone could cover on foot or bike. And there is too much ground to cover otherwise.
We loved the Segway and had a great time. We were wondering if would be able to ride them and we were extremely surprised to find how easy it is to do. It took us about 3 minutes to learn. Go for it! The visit covers thé grounds your worldwide ont eb able to cover
This was by far my 13 year old's favorite part of our trip to Europe. It was a wonderful way to be outdoors, see the beauty of the gardens and hear the history of the Palace of Versailles. After being on tour buses and walking through Paris this was a wonderful change. Our guide was excellent. He took time to train us to use the Segway and after a few minutes we were quite comfortable. He as very knowledgable and we stopped throughout the tour for photos.
Additional details: To see the ornate gardens, you will need to pay a few Euro and access those area on foot. The Segways aren't allowed in those areas. The location for this tour isn't at the main entrance to the palace. It's about 30 minutes away on foot. If you arrive early there are a few restaurants around the corner.
Very interesting tour, the guide was interesting and well informed on the place and its history.
What a wonderful experience for any age! We learned so much and had fun doing it. Our guide was awesome!
everything worked well. Service was excellent, the only downside, if any was the quality and the state of the Segway's... the batteries did not hold for the entire tour and the handles where pretty sticky!
Segway tour was fantastic only way to see the gardens
Only 2 comments on process we booked and paid for a 2 pm tour and only a few days before hand time was changed so therefore we couldn't do anything in the morning payment shouldn't have been accepted for a time slot if it can be changed and then when we got there we were asked for payment the guide did not now we had pre-paid
Our guide was very nice, and fun! However, I don't think the tour is as described, as we did not go into the "Versailles Gardens" - only the park and grounds surrounding the palaces. My understanding is that we would go into the formal gardens, but we just went down one side of the canal and up the other, then some surrounding area. Segways are lots of fun and we enjoyed it, but disappointed in where we could go and think it should be described better. There was no City touring either.
We did not have a tour guide. We had a driver. Nice guy but we were very disappointed. We wanted info and guidance to the sites but we' were just dropped off instead. Very expensive cab ride.
The Versailles Gardens during the winter are bone to be closed to the public. Although the weather was foggy and windy, they confirmed the Gardens Segway Tour but when I got there we were told that, the Palace Administration "just closed the gardens". Had it not be the second time in a row it happened to me, I could very well believe. But honestly, the people from Versailles just wanted my money and offered me as an alternative a segway tour around the city of Versailles that lasted no more than 1 hour (while I paid for a 2 hours tour). Regardless to say that that was far from being worth the trip from Paris and my money. Be very cautions and expect the worse from the winter weather at Versailles and from the Segway Events. No wonder as other more respectful companies do not run such activity during the winter.
