The bus tour from Victoria to Butchart Gardens was one of the best. Buses were comfortable, air conditioned. While driving safely, the drivers entertained us with interesting, humorous dialogue pertaining to what we were passing along the road. Before we knew it, we were there (or back). Mostly, I liked the choice of times we could pick to go and to return. That sense of independence meant a lot. Price was reasonable too.
Very accommodating and a perfect way to get to the gardens. Will use again!
Everything weren't very smoothly and timely. Commentary on the wat to the Gardens was excellent.
Gardens were beautiful.
A great way to see the gardens without rushing for a bus. Loved the fact that we had options for the return trip. An Amazing place!
Both the drivers and guides were very knowledgeable and told humorous stories to make the trip interesting.
So Beautiful! Beware it can be quite packed with other tourists especially if you are going on a weekend day or holiday.
We spent two nights at the Fairmont Empress with Bed and breakfast both days and Tea one afternoon. We spent one day walking around Buchart gardens. It was expensive but worth every penny. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it. The only hitch was not finding out until we were ready to leave that the hotel would have sent a valet to help us get our bags from the bus to the hotel. It is a short walk but two older women lugging heavy suitcases had more than we could handle. The driver suggested that we walk to the hotel through the Rose garden rather than take a taxi. Next time we call the hotel.
Great tour guide on the trip to the gardens. Butchart Gardens is a must see when in Victoria. Viator tours gave us flexibility on how long we stayed in the gardens unlike some other tours I saw online.
Tour guide was excellent! Gardens not quite totally in bloom but a definite "must see".
Butchart Gardens are a must for any visitor to Victoria.
The gardens are designed and arranged like beautiful art. It is pure pleasure at every turn.
Lunch in the dining room, (not cafe,) was delicious and lovely. There were edible flowers
as garnish on a wonderful, unusual chicken salad.
Everything was perfect except that we had no way of knowing that we would not be picked up in front of the hotel, as has been true for other tours, but in the back. So, we missed our pickup, even though we were
out there and ready fifteen minutes early. Only when I had the hotel call, did I learn we were waiting in the wrong place. I would have appreciated a mention of where the pickup might be. We did get on a later tour.
The narration by the driver was excellent.
Other than the stressful start, it was a marvelous day.
Out tour guide was excellent. He was very knowleldgible and very informative. He made us all feel at ease. The tour was just the right length. I t was very nice to have a varitety of times to return to our hotel and thus be able to spend extra time in the gardens.
Beautiful. Enjoy afternoon tea with pleasant staffs and great food.
The bus driver was friendly provided very interesting information on the city of Victoria and the history of Butchart Gardens. Butchart Gardens was so very beautiful and I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Victoria. The trip to the Butterfly House near Butchart Gardens was an unexpected bonus and well worth the 30 minutes we spent there before going on to Butchart Gardens.
