The trip was fabulous, worth every penny and then some. We were thinking of taking the train to Budapest ourselves and looking around, and I am so glad that we did not. The guides were top notch and full of good information. The picture-taking stops were just the right length. The lunch was very good and a nice break. I really enjoyed the two hours we had to ourselves. I would recommend this tour very highly.

Budapest is a must see city and an easy day trip from Vienna. Every aspect of the trip was well executed, from hotel pick up to drop off. The three hour bus ride each way was not too bad as the bus was comfortable and the guide kept us entertained. I have to say the bus driver was very professional. It's a little hard to see the city sights from the bus but the walking portion was excellent. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. I would like to have had more time to explore on my own but it's already a 14 hour journey start to finish. Consider it an introduction to Budapest that will make you want to come back. My only complaint was the lunch. You are limited to two choices at a pre-selected restaurant. The food was just o.k. but the service was good.
Budapest is a lovely city, full of history and a special air by the Danube River. It deserves a second visit. The mix of the old and modern parts of the city is very charming.
Highly recommended. Clean, efficient transport. Walking tour guide had good knowledge. Suggested lunch was most enjoyable. A good balance between organized tour and free time.

It was to my expectation. Very organized and first class tour guides!
When I signed up for the trip I knew we would have a 4 hour bus ride up and back and a set lunch that cost extra. We had these things plus a wonderful trip and tours that the five of us really felt it gave us a good overview of Budapest plus a little time to shop and take lots of photos. It was well worth the money. Also, there was a bathroom on our bus, just in a strange place.
This was one of our best trips. Budapest is a wonderful city and the local guide was excellent. The traditional lunch was part of a great experience. Highly recommended.

Our guide was extremely good. We learned a great deal about Budapest and Hungary before and after Soviet control. We had great weather and met some really interesting fun folks while on this trip. Very lovely place.

Definitely not a city to be missed. The tour itself was well planned. I did not appreciate being told on the bus that we were going to be having a set menu for lunch at an extra cost. If we are to pay for our own lunch at an extra cost then it should be personal choice as to where we eat.

It was a fantastic and wonderful day tour that is truly worth what I paid. The tour guides were very nice and gave a detailed scenic description of Budapest. They were very attentive to the needs of the tourist. Whenever I am in Europe, I will make it a point to arrange a tour with Viator.

This was a great trip and well-worth doing. As one rater commented, and I appreciate this comment, there is no toilet on the bus and no break on the way back to Vienna.

Well worth the trip, guide in Budapest was very knowledgable and helpful, definitely got the 'flavour' of this city very quickly. Excellent pick up and drop off service even though our hotel was in the business district of Vienna. Could have used a washroom stop on the drive back though.
