Absolutely loved it

The Benedictine Abbey was the highlight of our trip.

Beautiful scenery, even in winter. The boat was comfortable and clean, with food and drinks available as well as indoor and outdoor seating. Very informative tour at the Benedictine Abbey.

This trip was really fun. We got picked up at the Opera House, then transferred to a main bus station, so there was lots of waiting at the start. The drive on the bus is through some pretty amazing countryside. The boat ride on the Danube is entertaining for the first hour, but it goes on for a bit too long and much of the scenery is the same. The Abbey at Melk was beautiful and the tour was interesting. Overall, I would recommend it. Also, I would bring something to snack on unless you want to pay for the overpriced food offered on the boat or the overpriced food offered at the abbey.

We enjoyed this trip particularly the cruise and would certainly recommend it to others.

I really liked the boat trip down the Danube, I think the tour was worth it for that alone. Melk is a gorgeous place to visit and the tour through the abbey was great. It was also a tour that didn't have too much driving, which I was worried about before we went. I would definitely recommend it to other travellers.

The trip was very good. The scenery was excellent, and the town of Melk and the tour of the abbey were great. One suggestion would be to leave some more time for passengers to visit Melk. We were pressed for time to get lunch and get back to the abbey in time for the tour. The guide was OK.

This trip is definitely worth doing! The Abby at Melk is absolutely beautiful! The boat ride on the Danube was wonderful! The bus ride to the boat departure shows you a beautiful side of Vienna and is very informative. My only complaint with this tour is when you get to the place of departure you are also there with many other groups doing other tours. There are numerous buses and it's very chaotic and the tour guides were not helpful during this process. When you get there, this tour is the Wachau Tour. The bus does not say Danube Valley Tour. Once we finally boarded the correct bus and started the tour, the tour guide we had was very informative, but not very friendly or helpful the rest of the day. So, just be prepared for the chaos at the very beginning and don't expect your tour guide to be very friendly. BUT, enjoy the beautiful area, river, and the Abby, it is definetly a MUST see!

The tour itself was wonderful, but I use a walker and was not allowed to view a village on one of our stops by the tour guide. He seemed angry that I went on the tour against his wishes, he had told me when I arrived that I would not be able to make the whole tour as I would have to walk two miles, which was not true and I did just fine. The bus driver was very nice and helpful, though.

The gathering at the main station was boring with large number of people plus the rigidity of the returning point. Some actually passed their hotels and needed to walk back. I think the bus can have few stops on the way for whoever wish to descend till the end station.

Melk Abbey is incredible. The tour is OK. Wish the guide talked a little more.

We had a great time on this tour. The guide gave good commentary on the bus trip out, and the Danube cruise back was the icing on the cake!

In the hot weather...melting in Melk. Cold beer turned warm in 5 seconds. As the lunch was not provided, the lunch break was too short given the slower pace of restaurant service at the 1 and only restaurant even during peak hours with bus loads of tourists.

The purpose of the trip was for my mother's sixtieth birthday. It was something she had always wanted to do. I found it quite enjoyable and my mum and her friend thought it was great. Our coach ride was quite pleasant with an informative guide. The courtesy hotel pick up bus was driven by the only surly person we met in Vienna, and he was late. Melk Abbey was worth a visit. On the whole, it was an enjoyable trip and very easy for older people. Personally, I am used to doing my own thing and have been to lots of more dramatic places in the world. So it didn't quite live up to my expectations.
