It is a great tour, but can be better if in the summer. I went in the winter.

The trip was organized. It had to be translated to more than 3 languages since we were a multilingual group. It's nice to get away for one day from Vienna.

The Abbey at Melk is a masterpiece of Austrian baroque, and this tour is worth doing for that reason alone. The cruise ferry on the Danube was utilized by us for lunch, and there was really no need for additional lunch time once we got to Melk. The tour itinerary could be restructured to include stops at some of the notable villages in the valley instead.

There was no drop-off at the hotel after the tour. I thought that was part of the tour. The tour operator was fairly abrupt in the response indicating that it was not part of the deal. Returning to one's hotel can be quite difficult in a strange city. The tour was otherwise very enjoyable.

Boat ride was nice but it is practically impossible to find seats outside the restaurant.

Excellent views. Our monastery guide was very informative. It would have been exceptional but for the grumpy guide.

This trip is definitely worth doing. The Wachu River Valley is beautiful and the boat ride quite relaxing. The only negative was the bus ride and the crowds, a lot of people. If you don't mind the bus tour scene, it's fine.

Another great tour with Viator. Something for everyone to note: The company will pick you up from your hotel if you are staying in Vienna; however, you are not dropped back to your hotel. The tour completes at the Opera House, and you have to make your own way home.

The tour guide was knowledgeable and there was a lot to see. It was worth the trip just to see the abbey and the view.

This trip is definitely worth doing. It is a nice break from the city to see the countryside. The drive through the Wachau Valley and the boat trip were both lovely. Melk was definitely the highlight of they day. Fortunately we had lunch on the boat, so we had time to explore the village before visiting the Abbey. Unfortunately, the tour guide was more interested in some of the other tourists who appeared to be family, and didn't bother to tell us what was going to happen next. He also failed to explain that there were two options for lunch: lunch on the boat or at Melk. I would still recommend this trip to someone else, just make sure the tour guide gives you an itinerary of the day. The tour guide appeared to be disorganized and distracted.

Thank you for a very enjoyable trip on the Danube. It was easy to organise and book on the internet, and being picked up from our hotel was a bonus. Our guide for the day was most helpful and informative. We enjoyed the whole day and would recommend it to anyone.

Our coach was luxurious and smooth as ice cream and our tour guide was quite funny and informative. The trip was a welcome relief from walking around Vienna. The Danube boat trip was so relaxing and we saw lots of castles. We had lunch at the Benedictine restaurant and sat outside to eat. It was really good. The monastery was really interesting and our tour guide was very enthusiastic. The lavishness of the architecture was amazing. Great trip, would recommend it.
