There was no drop-off at the hotel after the tour. I thought that was part of the tour. The tour operator was fairly abrupt in the response indicating that it was not part of the deal. Returning to one's hotel can be quite difficult in a strange city. The tour was otherwise very enjoyable.

Boat ride was nice but it is practically impossible to find seats outside the restaurant.

Excellent views. Our monastery guide was very informative. It would have been exceptional but for the grumpy guide.

This trip is definitely worth doing. The Wachu River Valley is beautiful and the boat ride quite relaxing. The only negative was the bus ride and the crowds, a lot of people. If you don't mind the bus tour scene, it's fine.

Another great tour with Viator. Something for everyone to note: The company will pick you up from your hotel if you are staying in Vienna; however, you are not dropped back to your hotel. The tour completes at the Opera House, and you have to make your own way home.

The tour guide was knowledgeable and there was a lot to see. It was worth the trip just to see the abbey and the view.

This trip is definitely worth doing. It is a nice break from the city to see the countryside. The drive through the Wachau Valley and the boat trip were both lovely. Melk was definitely the highlight of they day. Fortunately we had lunch on the boat, so we had time to explore the village before visiting the Abbey. Unfortunately, the tour guide was more interested in some of the other tourists who appeared to be family, and didn't bother to tell us what was going to happen next. He also failed to explain that there were two options for lunch: lunch on the boat or at Melk. I would still recommend this trip to someone else, just make sure the tour guide gives you an itinerary of the day. The tour guide appeared to be disorganized and distracted.

Thank you for a very enjoyable trip on the Danube. It was easy to organise and book on the internet, and being picked up from our hotel was a bonus. Our guide for the day was most helpful and informative. We enjoyed the whole day and would recommend it to anyone.

Our coach was luxurious and smooth as ice cream and our tour guide was quite funny and informative. The trip was a welcome relief from walking around Vienna. The Danube boat trip was so relaxing and we saw lots of castles. We had lunch at the Benedictine restaurant and sat outside to eat. It was really good. The monastery was really interesting and our tour guide was very enthusiastic. The lavishness of the architecture was amazing. Great trip, would recommend it.

This tour was very good, but though I was picked up from the hotel I was not returned to hotel as described.

The guide was very informative and helpful and there were many photo opportunities. There was some confusion with getting on the bus, but once on it was a great day trip.

Enjoyable and relaxing day. Efficient pickup from hotel, bus journey was fine to the boat terminal, but the highlight was the tour on the Danube. It was a very smooth and pleasant boat trip. The village of Melk was a disappointment as we only had time to have lunch before we were taken on the Abbey Castle tour. It was pouring rain, which didn't help. A little longer here would be good, so that you could wander into the village. Not being returned to the hotel was not great either, bearing in mind that it was pouring rain. The option of a return to the hotel should be included. Would have preferred to be longer on boat trip and in the village and less time on the bus. Tour guide could have been more informative about the areas we were passing through or Vienna in general, while on the bus. Multilingual is not all that pleasant. Expensive.

Tour guide was very boring. Seemed to be going through the motions.

The monastery was amazing, but we felt the trip would have been better with the cruise. Without it, there was a lot of 'hanging around' just killing time, which when it's raining is no fun. I wouldn't go in the winter again.
