Although it may seem expensive the combination's very worthwhile. We had a great time at Schonbrunn Palace and loved the cakes at Cafe Central. It was thunder, lightning, and rain during our concert but that just added to the atmosphere and the musicians and dancers were excellent. Note that the company will reserve times for the sightseeing tour, Schonbrunn Palace, and concert - it might be worth getting your combination card and checking the plan before making any other reservations to ensure you can do everything you want to do. We'd booked one separate thing that conflicted and due to a holiday there the company wasn't able to put us on a different sightseeing tour. Overall though the convenience of the Vienna card and tickets for dinner and coffee and cake at our convenience was a tremendous plus for our visit to Vienna.
Insufficient time in / around Schonbrunn made this tour less than ideal. 30 minutes to walk the gardens only.
The combo card was useful in that it meant you had a range of things organised before you arrived in town.
however - I had anticipated that there would be more of a saving by making a block booking. the real saving would be made if you used the Vienna card vouchers a lot - but you would virtually end up spending more to get the discounts ..... not good economics.
The restaurant (Kardos) was excellent - very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
The Café Central is a beautiful place but we felt that our visit there was compromised by the fact we had the Viator voucher. the waiter seemed impatient and irritated when we said that we had the voucher. we ordered 2 cakes, 1 tea, and 1 glass of water. when we asked for cream with one of the cakes, he irritatingly replied.... 'you will have to pay for it' ............. the sum total of the cream bill was 70 cent. we were very unimpressed.
Not impressed as ended on different tour .A lot of confusion initially. Tour guide not helpful and very unpleasant. Also almost missed concert as venue address difficult to find.
