Great day trip from Vienna. There were so many shops and places to see we thought the free time we were given wasn't enough. We also wished that we were given a city map so navigating the city would have been easier, especially we had to find our way back to the starting point on our own not an easy grid to follow without one. Overall we were glad that we took the trip.
Marvelous trip the home city of Motzart .very elegant city must visit
A wonderful day. The guide was very knowledgeable, and she took time to answer everyone's question as they arose. She provided an excellent overview of the area and the city and its history. The pace was leisurely and allowed ample time to listen and enjoy.
Beautiful tour! We left at the scheduled time and stopped at a buffet restaurant along the way. The food there is very, very good, but not cheap. When we got back, we stopped at another buffet, where the food didn't look that appealing, so almost nobody ate...
The guide was very good, he explained a lot of things during the trip. He would always explain in German first, then English , although there were only 2 people speaking German on the bus. In Salzburg we had only a 2 hours to explore on our own so we went to the castle with the funicular, then explored the city a little bit. There is a lot to see, however there isn't enough time.
The trip took the entire day, almost 10 hours. We listened to soundtracks from the musical The sound of music on our way back.
The good thing about this tour is that they pick you up from your hotel and drop you off too, at no charge.
Our tour of Salzburg was great. We highly recommend it to anyone interested in visiting this lovely city.
Great trip...lot's of things to see along the way. Not much time in Salzburg but enough to get the flavor of it and see some interesting places. Don't miss if you have the chance. Great guide.
Great trip and we had a wonderful tour guide in Hans. It's a good bit of travel back and forth 3 hours each way but Salzburg is beautiful and Hans was very informative both on the bus and in the town. One day in Salzburg is enough though- beautiful but small.
The hills were indeed alive!! A fun day out from Vienna, really good guide and Salzburg is just beautiful.
Excellent trip best tour we did
Our guide was extremely knowledgable we learned a lot
Of all trips we took this one was the best during our trip to Austria
Hans the tour guide was amazing, very knowledgeable of the Salzburg and Austrian history as a whole. Conducted the tour in a very interesting manner
It was a very good experience. The guide was extremely knowlegable and we had fun.
Our tour was very nice. The tour guide was fantastic and very proud of Austria (and very liberal). The only down side was the other people on the tour could be annoying but that has nothing to do with the tour offering. It is a long ride to Salzburg and back with mandatory 45 min stops half way
Wow!!!! Sound of music...Mozart..and Chocolate Mozart The ones that are blue and silver I believe made by Furst ...scenery...the best ...what more can you ask for ...
very nice tour and the leader of the tour and the driver are very nice people
we stayed in salzburg and did not returned back to vienna and they helped us by getting us a taxi to take us to the hotel
Thomas was our tour guide and he was my favorite all week. Salzburg was so breathtaking. Having lunch on the fortress is an absolute most.
A long bus ride, but a great city to see. We stopped along the way in St Gilgen for a photo opp on an Alpine lake. Our guide gave us info on Salzburg's famous Mozart and some on The Sound of Music. We were shown around the city and The Sound of Music sights were pointed out to us. Of course, don't forget that Mozart was born here! There are a few museums dedicated to him, one is the house he was born in.
Loved the sights and sounds of Salzburg. So pretty. I would have loved to stay longer. The tour guide was good. i would recommend it to anyone.
