Prompt pick up and transfer was then spoilt by total confusion as to which boat we were going to be on. The operators staff were unable to resolve the situation for 30mins or more during which we were asked to transfer boats twice. Once resoled we had a very pleasant evening .

The boat, the food and the music were ok, though not outstanding. Everybody on my group was disappointed, since we didn't see anything of the advertised "illuminated views" of Vienna. It was simply dark outside, during all the cruise.

The sightseeing company handled the cruise and surrounding logistics very well. The food was good on the cruise. It would have been nice to know what the music actually was since our group was from various parts of the world and the USA. We were not especially pleased with the singing and the music. Too loud, too long and very local in it's appeal.

We were placed on the bottom level of the boat and saw very little of the night lights of Vienna. No communication from boat staff to say the meal was ready.

This should never be called an evening sightseeing cruise, unless you call boating up the Vienna City canal as a cruise; we spent about a mile actually on the Danube. However, one item of interest was the working of the lock connecting the canal to the Danube. Dinner was a buffet, with enough for everyone, unless you were a vegetarian. We thought there might be some commentary on any sights we passed but none were forthcoming. Entertainment was very loud and of mixed quality. This was not a great excursion that had as its finale the unknown fact that we had to find our own way back to everyone's hotels. Although we were picked up from our hotels it would have been good to mention that transport back from where the boat tied up was at one's own responsibility. Lots of people milling around expected to be taken back to their hotels; fortunately when an officer of the boat was asked he immediately confirmed that transport was not arranged and pointed people at the nearest taxi rack.

This trip is a complete misrepresentation! We were picked up by the tour operator and taken to a riverboat where we were informed that we would have to make our own way back to the hotel. Our ticket mentioned a "tour guide" - there wasn't one. The boat actually cruised down the canal for the first hour and spent 20 mins in a lock before we reached the Danube where we cruised for an hour before returning via the canal. There wasn't any sightseeing at all. The boat cruised AWAY from the city so at no stage did we see any of the sights portrayed in the picture. The music was local fare, great if you understand German, which we do not. The food was passable but not great. The waiter struggled with english. There is a small open deck in the stern if you want some air but it was packed with people smoking and an absolute "no go" zone for non-smokers. A really disappointing experience that I would not recommend to anyone.
